    • Plastic gets soft in the sun

To start, I do have problems with my back, feet and unfortunately overall body aches on any average day so keep that in mind while reading this review. So far I've only used my rocker seat a few times but I've found that it does help to extend the period of time I spend working in my garden so that alone gives this seat four stars for me because that's exactly what I was hoping for. The reasons I'm not giving the product 5 stars: 1) You do need to be a bit more conscious of your balance, because the seat does have the ability to rock all around to more easily reach all areas in your garden you're also more likely to 'over lean'. 2) Using the seat does take some pressure off of my back, over the alternative of working on my hands and knees but I do take breaks because my back will still start to hurt after about 20-30 minutes so I take breaks often. This might not be the case for everyone as I mentioned above I already have a bad back. 3) I recommend keeping the chair in your garage or any cool shaded area when you're not using it because even when I only left the chair beside the garden for 2 hours the plastic softened on the back of the seat and when leaning back only slightly the plastic folded and dumped me off the back. If you're anything like me this will have you jumping up quickly and looking around for onlookers. I swear even the squirrels were laughing at me. 4) The last thing I noticed is that if you have a difficult time getting up from the sitting position this will not be the chair for you and there isn't anything to grip and push yourself up without again faceplanting into the ground. With all of that said I'm still going to continue using it because the little bit it does help me is better then nothing! ... show more

Whatever you do, don’t lean back too far, or better yet at all. I have fallen twice now when sitting up to stretch. But other than that I love this thing and I love how I can adjust it and it doesn’t take up a whole lot of room like many other gardening like stools can. I use this bench when I'm going to be working in a raised bed (only 9" high) for awhile. I sit on the seat and have my knees-to-ankles on the ground so I can kneel but have a good deal of body weight off my knees.

Sturdy, durable, stable, comfortable, easy to clean, easy to assemble (no additional tools needed), easy height adjustable and it doesn't sink in the soil. Most of the negative reviews state it's not tall enough. I'm 6'2", you can't very well work in the soil sitting on a 24 - 36 inch stool. Additional height would diminish the stability given the size of the base and a larger base would reduce the places you could utilize it in the garden without damaging other plants. What more could you want? OK, OK, a gardener to do the work... ;-) ... show more
