I received this item and it was damaged inside the product box. The product box had fallen apart but the shipping box was not damaged. One of the five lids was cracked off and is unusable. Update: I was going to return these but one of my family members saw them and started using them before I could get them returned for the bad lid. We really liked them a lot and bought the non compartment version also. I had forgotten all about the bad lid until about a month ago I found a several month old email from the seller wanting to help with my problem in my spam folder. I figured my window to get a replacement had opened and closed so I just ignored it. Today I got a package in the mail but I was not expecting anything. Turned out to be a replacement for my cracked lid - this seller REALLY DOES CARE if I'm satisfied with my purchase. We use the other 9 containers several times a week for the past year and they seem to be holding up very well. These seem to be really good quality 2-compartment glass containers. But I've only had them for a week, and used 3 times, so will have to wait and see if they withstand the test of time. However, seems like many of the negative comments about these containers are due to user error, based on the containers I received. One person didn't like the containers because the lids distorted after microwaving the container. This is user error, as the box specifically says remove the lid before placing the container in the microwave, oven, or dishwasher. Lids leak, I filled the container with water and shook it and the water leaked all over the place. I did this twice before I noticed I hadn't put the lid on correctly. Once I did, it was completely water tight. Several reviewers complained that the dividers don't go all the way up to the lid. This is absolutely true they don't. On my containers there is a 1 cm (less than 1/2 inch) gap. For my use, storing mostly solid or chunky food and not liquid these divided containers work quite well. If you plan to store liquid or very small pieces of solid food, like corn, use a different container as they will pass thru the gap in the divider. But the photo on Amazon clearly shows the small gap. Several reviewers complained they came with a cracked lid. Well 3 of the 5 containers I received had cracked lids. But I realize that stuff happens in shipping. But I simply contacted the seller, provided them a photo of the damage and they replaced the containers no questions asked. In fact the customer service was truly excellent. I take my lunch to work in these every day and reheat them in a microwave - they are great and I've never had a problem with them leaking or food mixing between compartments. But, I don't turn them upside down in a backpack either. So if you can live with the limitations I've mentioned, I don't think you'll find a better glass storage container at this price point. As an initial matter, there were only containers in my box when it arrived versus 5 like in the descriptions. One of the remaining 4 lids was already cracked on arrival, so basically 3 containers were usable from the get go. I thought about just returning it, but for the price, it wasn't worth the time to package it all back up and the remaining containers looked nice and durable. Literally the first time we ran them through the dish washer, two additional lids cracked to the point they are unusual (nothing strange about my dishwasher to the best of my knowledge), so now I've got three not-usable containers (when I should have had 5 originally) and one that is ok, but who knows for how long. Seems like a great idea in theory, but the quality control wasn't there. ... show more

I bought these containers because I recently had a change in life style and needed containers made out of glass in order to bring food to work. These containers are nice looking and the glass is very sturdy which I like. For me, the compartments are the perfect size for portion control so they're pretty much perfect. The only reason I did not give this product 5 stars is because one of the lids came cracked so I can only transport completely solid food if I choose to use that specific lid. ... show more

When I chose these, I was looking for dishes to help with portion control. These work reasonably well for that, especially when salad is a side (bigger half). However, even if they had not worked out for that purpose I would still love them! The lids fit really well and I don't have to worry about leaks. The divider doesn't go to the absolute top, but it is high enough to prevent overflow when the full dish is handled in a normal way. They can go in the dishwasher. I don't put the lids in too because I suspect they will last longer if I hand wash them. They microwave fine and they are thick enough that you won't burn yourself when you pick them up - at last I haven't yet. I'm' sure its possible. They are glass, so they are a little heavier but that hasn't been a problem They stack well in the fridge. They don't nest, for cabinet storage, but I store with lids on; just so I don't lose lids. I don't get excited about dishes generally, but I'm tickled with these. ... show more

Because I want to prep meals for lunch at work, I purchased this 5 pack. Their price is not exactly budget friendly, but they're an excellent size for the HotLogic Mini that I have in my office cubicle. Wish there was a more competitive priced product.

I was using some nice plastic/tupperware lunch prep containers but they were so hard to keep closed and the dishwasher tore them up even when put only on the top rack without heat. These come out just fine from the dishwasher. They don't retain stains or odors, like the plastic versions and the lid always fits snug. They are perfect to fit inside my satchel style purse without spilling anything. Also, they hold quite a bit. These are excellent - 5 for 5 workdays! Hot, Cold, or the microwave. They go great with the Rubbermaid Brilliance Dressing containers which fit inside just perfectly. ... show more
