This was bought to replace the old muffler on my Snapper mower's Briggs and Stratton 12.5 Hp motor. It fit perfectly and is a real improvement on the sound level. If I have one complaint, I don't know why it doesn't just come with the correct gasket from the factory? I went with the above area where it states "people who bought this, also bought..." Well, there must be a lot of people like me that had to have that gasket refunded. It is not even close to correct. Amazon took care of it for me and I was also able to reuse the original steel gasket. I am very happy with the muffler and can recommend it. ... show more

Like the title says, it is a perfect fit and is quieter than the OEM muffler. I’m very happy I took a chance on this and I’m sure my neighbors will be, too.

My husband wanted an old Snapper mower like his Dad had in the 1980's. He found one and it needed a muffler - it was super loud. Have no idea what make/model the snapper is, but we got this muffler and it fit perfectly. It does muffle the sound better than the old one, but people will still know when you mow the lawn! VERDICT: would buy again ... show more

    • Excellent replacement for snapper mower Briggs and Stratton 10.5 hp
I had to replace engine on old snapper with new Briggs and Stratton 10.5 hp and the muffler that came with engine was perfectly fine but to use bagger muffler was physically in the way. This muffler fit perfectly and vented hot exhaust out to side and gave plenty of room for installing bagger system. Easy install, took five minutes (don't forget exhaust gasket). Sound was smooth and easy on the ears! Definitely recommend this product! ... show more

The product is very well made , unfortunately it did not fit will haft to return . I have a quite old snapper . have installed 10.5 hp brigs engine , hope that others can help me find the correct muffler

Muffler did not fit. Was not able to return it. 5 calls to the Vendor and they refused to do anything. 5 calls to Amazon customer service produced promises, but zero results. Would not recommend this vendor to by worst enemy. Extremely disappointed. Not worthy of the 1 star I was forced to give it.
