I loooove this lamp. It's beautiful, has so much character, and is just incredibly pleasing to look at. I originally bought it because I felt the room needed more vertical detail. We have large windows that make the room very bright during the day, and we'd already installed pot lights, so technically we didn't *need* another light. But I wanted something that would add some warmth and visual interest rather than simply more lighting. I also had an ulterior motive. I was trying to make the chair in the corner feel more like a proper little reading nook. Partly for me, and partly because I wanted to impress my fellow book club members. 😂This lamp ended up being exactly what I was looking for. It has a nice weight and feels much more substantial than I expected. I don't need to worry about any one accidently knocking it over. If it's knocked over, then it's a message from the universe. Assembly was also incredibly easy, about 5 minutes and definitely under 10 minutes. Everything went together without any frustration. The foot switch is another nice touch and makes it convenient to turn on and off without having to reach down to the lamp. The orange gradient shade is what really makes it special. The glass has such a pretty pattern and glow and looks beautiful off and even more beautiful on, and the combination of the shape, color, and metal stand gives it a lot of personality without feeling over-the-top. It's one of those pieces that functions as lighting but also feels like part of the room's charm. The funniest part is that my husband initially complained when it arrived. 😂 He pointed out that we didn't need a lamp because the room is already bright and we have pot lights. He said it would just be clutter. But after he helped me put it together, he may actually be more in love with it than I am. Now he's talking about getting another for our room! I suppose orange is his favorite color. He especially likes the weight, the character, and the pattern in the glass. So now we have a lamp that we technically didn't need, in a room that already has plenty of lighting, and somehow both of us absolutely love it and couldn't be happier with it. That's probably the best compliment I can give it. If you're looking for a lamp with color, personality, warmth, and a little bit of art-deco/mid-century character this is a beautiful choice. It's one of those purchases that makes the room feel more like a home.

I wasn’t sure I was going to like this lamp, but when it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. This so-called “mid-century modern” lamp exudes quality with its golden glass orb and matte-brass finish. Its substantial construction boasts a surprisingly hefty base that told me it would take a deliberate act of violence to knock over this towering work of art. As soon as I connected the pieces together (which took what felt like hundreds of turns of these brass segments to connect), there stood a nearly 70-inch masterpiece of simple design and elegance. I think it’s downright beautiful. It included a transparent E26 lightbulb, but I could do better. I recommend choosing your own smart bulb or at least a dimmer for this lamp. When I first turned it on by stepping on its crystal-clear foot switch, I immediately realized it’s too glaring and bright with the included lightbulb. Further, I’m convinced that a smart lightbulb that employs a variety of colors is essential, making this already attractive luminaire even more dramatic with the ability to further enhance its already multi-hued presence. I didn’t have a pressing need for a lamp in this location, as you can see in the photos, but this is an ideal addition to my somewhat mid-century modern decor as an accent piece that stands out and adds even more to the warmth of one of my favorite places. I’m delighted with this purchase. Besides that bulb, I can’t think of anything I would change about it, and I think it’s well worth its substantial price. This lamp is a welcome addition to my favorite place on earth, making this office and den even more pleasant for me to work and play within. I can’t recommend it enough.

Orange Sunset Arc Mushroom Floor Lamp. 67 inches tall. The base is much heavier than some I have tried so holds the lamp with less chance of tipping. Felted bottom so as not to scratch your wood flooring. Easy to put together like real easy since the cord is already threaded through the poles. Just screw everything together and add the globe. The pole is ...very gold so I wasn't loving that due to the different tone of the metal. The globe was designed to look like a sunset so from light yellow to dark orangey brown. It looks way better lit than not. This arc lamp is well designed and made sturdy but I still don't trust it not to tip over if on carpet with children around. Bare floors and away from toddlers I recommend. Love the foot operated switch and the sleek MCM design. Not crazy about that glass globe color if not lit so it just stays lit and gives off a nice warm glow. Perfect lamp for a reading corner.

URLIGHTS Sunset Grapefruit Glass Floor Lamp is better than expected! I knew it was a 67-inch-tall light, but I didn’t realize how tall that truly is. This is a wonderful, modern-vintage standing lamp showing off a gradient orange glass shade with a brushed metal frame. My glass shade does not have as much orange in it as those pictured on their website. (Maybe it’s the lighting.) Nonetheless, I like my unique shade, which is mostly a neutral color, sort of a blend of beige and ivory, with about three inches of orange from the bottom edge reminiscent of tie-dye. The diffusion of a warm sunset glow is welcoming. You will quickly discover this stand-alone piece can command the room with its blend of retro mid-century aesthetics, which includes functional convenience. No doubt the traditional lamp is a striking item. I’m glad the base is weighted enough to prevent tipping. Putting the pole light together was a snap! The instructions included do a good job, but it’s all apparent how the pieces fit together. I’m happy to have discovered what seems like a lamp from the past to raise the visual aesthetic of my living room. I appreciate a pedal switch on a long cord!

. The color really adds to the decor. That orange sunset glass shade takes what could have been a fairly simple modern floor lamp and gives it warmth and personality. I like the contrast between the brushed metal and the colored glass. The shape remains minimalist and clean, but the orange shade becomes a strong decorative element whether the lamp is on or off. When illuminated, the glass creates a warm ambient light that adds considerably more atmosphere than an ordinary clear or white shade. It's an easy way to introduce color into a room without having to commit an entire wall or large piece of furniture to it. The weighted base is stable, the metal construction is solid, and I particularly like the foot switch for everyday use. The standard E26 socket also leaves plenty of choices for the bulb and final lighting character. A simple modern design, but that orange sunset glass makes the difference. The color really adds to the decor.

Younger people may not know -- this style of light was very popular in the 1960s at the height of the space race. The glowing globe reminds us of the warm sun, bringing light to all. This indoor floor lamp plugs in to any ordinary wall outlet. It's very easy to unpack and set up, no special tools required. It took about 5 minutes. As the bulb is glass it you must be careful not to tip it over. The base is heavy but if you have clumsy eager dogs or rowdy kids put it in a corner where it will not get run over by running wildlings whether with two legs or four paws. It looks great and works great too. Foot-pedal switch for easy use. If you want a reading light that looks class and evokes the space age this is it. I love it because of the warm light, easy on the eyes yet bright as day, a gentle sort of indoor sun light.
