This is “moldable” by hot-boiling water to your mouth. But don’t rush to remove it or it’ll have some “spring back” and be uncomfortable and need re-molding Also don’t bite too hard when molding or you’ll bite through the guard material. Take it easy and it’ll be fine.

It was very easy to mold and is comfortable to wear. Directions easy to follow. It was very difficult to separate from the tray after molding. Tried everything they suggested but still would not separate without cracking one side. Also doesn’t last very long. The instructions based on microwave preparation of the oral guard did not work well. I had to contact the company and got a free replacement as well as instructions using a stove top boiling method (which were not included in the first order). The guard works fine.

I was told a long time ago that I grind my teeth, but never did anything about it. Then I finally got my first adult cavity filled and had constant pain for months in that spot. Grinding the filling down did not help. So I finally bought this product given my insurance quoted me $600 for a night guard through the dentist. Had to reform two times. First time the front did not form well at all and it was a loose fit. Second time it still did not form much in the front but it fit better but in the morning when I woke up, my teeth hurt. I stopped using it. Can't return it either. Total money loss. I have used other similar products so not sure why this one performed so poorly. Maybe because there is just not very much material to work with. And since there is not much material to work with, why charge so much? I ended up buying a cheaper brand and they work just fine.
