This rail was easy to assemble and install. It's light enough to easily hoist up to my stand by myself, and the ratchet strap/tooth combo make for a sturdy attachment to the tree. I've seen other reviews stating that it's not sturdy enough, or doesn't support enough weight. Understand this: This is designed to support your rifle (or crossbow), not your body. Perfect item for what I use it for. I put it about 3" above my head when i stand up then i use this as a support for my tree umbrella and then I tie a burlap tree skirt around rail total camo and some wind n rain protection. Definitely would buy again if this item becomes avaliable again. Please bring this back. ... show more

    • Just what I needed.
Set it up in the yard to test it. Went up easy and is stable enough to hold my crossbow. Added a camo cloth to it and it is still easy to get in my tree stand. Very well built! It does sag a few inches down with the crossbow weight is on it. I just mounted it a few inches higher than normal and that increased the stability. Would have given 5 star rating, but have not field tested it yet ... show more

    • Sturdy but too large
The product itself is decent quality, but the concept doesn't work that well unless you have a very large seat on your stand. The base plate that straps to the tree is rather robust (Usually a good thing) but that also makes it deep, which shifts your entire body about 8" forward from the tree trunk when you add the padding. Unless you have a very large seat, the loss of seating room is very problematic for a standard hanging stand. ... show more
