My son just got braces and this works great to brush his teeth. There is an indicator light that shines green if you are applying the correct pressure when brushing. It will shine red if you are pushing too hard. It changes rainbow colors after 2 minutes to indicate that you have brushed long enough. There is also an app but he hasn’t used that yet.     • Oral B Io series 5 is the right choice!
This is the toothbrush to get! Cleans much better than my old Sonicare Prestige (top of the line) for them. I bought Series 5 since it has the super sensitive setting (series 6 does not!!). That is as good as it gets for sensitive setting And a big advantage over the series 9 and 10 (in addition to a great saving in price) is the lower decibel setting (to protect hearing). The series numbers 7 and above are in mid 70s decibels and the series 6 and below are in mid 60s I first ordered the series 6, but the sensitive mode was too rough for my gum health. I settled on the series 5 because it had the super sensitive mode and also indicated clearly on the brush which mode you are in (you can also lock the mode you like so every time you start your brush is in the mode you like!! Lower numbered models lacked that feature (and the smart brush app). I also really appreciate the clear pressure monitor (the green ring when you are using the pressure well). So easy to use. I love that it connects with an app so I can track my teeth brushing habits and make sure I’m brushing all areas of my teeth. There are different speeds/modes and you can even change the order that they are in the app. The app also reminds you when to change your toothbrush head. There’s an indicator on the toothbrush that flashes green or red when youre putting too much pressure. The battery life isn’t what I’d like it to be but the charger is pretty convenient. My teeth definitely feel cleaner and my dentist even said I had no plaque build up on my teeth. ... show more

    • Good toothbrush with a few minor drawbacks
I’ve been using this toothbrush for a little while now and overall, I’m fairly happy with it! I like the color (white) and it charged quickly right out of the box. It makes my mouth feel super clean, especially behind my front teeth, which is an area I usually struggle to get to with manual brushes. The small head is perfect for reaching my back molar teeth, which is great since I have a smaller mouth. The bristles are a bit firm and felt a little rough on my gums at first, but I think I’m starting to get used to them. It might not be ideal if you have very sensitive gums. That said, the toothbrush arrived quickly and was packaged really nicely, which I appreciated.     • I Like This Toothbrush
I like this toothbrush a lot. The lights are easy to see and really help to know if you are applying the right pressure. It's a little large for my mouth. It feels quite bulky in the back corners, but otherwise great. Charge lasts more than a week.
