    • Best toothbrush I’ve ever owned – my teeth have never felt this clean!
I finally upgraded to the Oral-B iO Series 5 two weeks ago after years of using regular Sonicare and older Oral-B models, and holy cow, the difference is night and day. From the very first brush I could feel how much cleaner my teeth were – that slick, “just left the dentist” feeling lasts all day. My dental hygienist even noticed at my check-up yesterday and asked what I switched to (she was impressed). The visible pressure sensor is a total game-changer. I apparently used to brush way too hard because the red ring would light up constantly the first few days. Now I’m in the green every time and my gums have stopped feeling sensitive – they actually look pinker and healthier already. Five brushing modes are plenty (Daily Clean and Sensitive are my go-timers), and the round brush head gets in every nook way better than the oval ones I was used to. The battery life is insane too – charged it once out of the box and it’s still showing three bars after two weeks of twice-daily brushing for both me and my wife (we share it, don’t judge). Super quiet compared to my old brush and the app is surprisingly useful for tracking coverage without being annoying. Yeah, it’s not the cheapest toothbrush, but for how clean my mouth feels and how much I’m actually protecting my gums now, it’s worth every penny. If you’re on the fence, just do it – you’ll wonder why you waited so long. Already bought a second one for travel. Five stars, no question! ... show more

This cleans your teeth and mouth superbly. A little difficult to understand each setting but has good pressure. I really like this model

    • The Series 5 is the sweet spot and the pressure indicator rocks!
I was a Sonicare guy for years and years but decided to give Oral-B a try, and I think it works a lot better for me. I started with the IO Series 3 since it's fairly cheap, but the display lights are super limited and it's really hard to know what mode you're on.... the Series 5 has clear icons so you always know where you stand. I was researching it via reviews here and Reddit, and yeah, I can't fathom why anyone would really need higher than the Series 5; this one does all the essentials well and feels like the "sweet spot"... the higher level ones just seem a bunch more for a couple gimmicks and nothing more... So, I have an awesome hygienist and she was agreeing with most pros, both Oral-B, Sonicare, and anything else should work great if you have really good technique (which I kinda struggle with haha). The Sonicare heads are just so narrow, for me I feel like I was missing some spots, with the Oral-B just feeling like I'm able to hit every spot easily. They key for me, though? I've always tended to brush too hard, and the Oral-B has an awesome pressure meter, it's a glowing ring right under the brush head (green for good, blue for too light, and red for too hard). You couldn't even miss it in the mirror if you tried, so it doesn't just help for the moment but has taught me where and why I'd brush too hard.... that feature alone is what really sold me on Oral-B vs Sonicare! ... show more

    • Tooth Cleaning Machine Right Here
Pros: Unfortunately I did not get an unboxing video. Because I had to be put into service ASAP, as our other toothbrush passed out permanently. But this toothbrush is amazing. The design which incorporate the pressure sensor light rings has completely changed my brushing. I realized that I applied way too much pressure during my brushing. And the stuttering reminder to move to a different area of the mouth is an excellent reminder to get all areas of you teeth fully. This brush has already helped my gum health as I can see the pinkness and health has come back to them just in the short time I’ve been using it. My teeth feel so much better after using it. The design is very well thought out, there is an app that collaborates with the brush too. It’s gives you a brushing score, lets you know when to changed the brush heads, lots of cool stuff. Con: This brush is designed for a single person to use. The software will not work correctly if multiple users use the brush. I would figure there could be a way to encode each brush head with a chip that would allow the brush and software to differentiate but it does not. But being retired, a $100 toothbrush is difficult to swallow, even if it lasts for years. Summary: This is a great brush. And even though we are “using” it wrong we will continue because it is the best product out there we have used. It’s seems very durable and I am sure hoping it lasts as long as our last one. ... show more

I love Oral B when they work and last. Had some IO 7 and 8 with fast charger because thought what I needed charging in 3 hours.and all cool feature but batteries didn’t last and quit charging within year. Best I have found is IO 7 and this 5 series. Yes takes longer to charger but batteries last. Some gave me a gift card for Christmas and used it to buy this IO 5 for spare bathroom and I love it. No it does Nike have a digital clock and takes loner to charger but lasts a long time and I discovered it is all I need. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT AND RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY! ... show more
