I like anything with a motor on it. I have multiple "toys". Some are home made others bought them with the motor on them. Never had an electric "toy"before. I received the bike. Packaged very week. Easy to assemble. The battery already had a charge to allow me to try it right away. I immediately fell in love with it. Once charged I rode it to the trail for serious testing. At first I had a bit of hard time choosing which mode to use and when. The bike can be used with no power (just like any other bike with 7 gears). Or with an accelerator located on the right had grip. Or pedal assist mode (has five settings). Make a long story short after few rides I settled on how to use the different modes based on my surroundings (trail, people present, or in traffic). I like this bike so much that I asked myself why I waited so long to get an electric bike. The battery has more juice than I can use on my daily exercise ride (10 miles each way). The motor has plenty of power for what I want it to do. I weight about 200lbs and can go 20 miles per hour. The pedal assist helps me keep going at a constant speed regardless of the dips or the hills on the trail. Re charging time is very acceptable. I just plug it in after each ride and it is ready for my next ride. The only thing that I don't like about it is it does not have shock absorbers. I feel every pump. I would buy again. ... show more

I had my doubts of which company to pick and heard oraimo is a trusted brand. So, I ordered two bikes for me and my wife. They were very easy to assemble and only took about 20 minutes to put together. Comes with all the tools you need inside. It’s well protected when it came to shipping and even had this metal bar that supports the forks to keep them from bending from potential shipping damage. As soon as we charged them, which only took about 2 hours for a full charge. We took them around the neighborhood and went probably around 21mph uphill. The seat is very comfortable for longer rides. TL;DR I recommend it, it is powerful, good looking, easy to install, and fun to ride. Installation: It comes with all the tool kit for you to install your bike, the whole process took me 20mins, 10 mins spent on unpacking. They really did a good job packing it up to prevent damages during transit. Ride: You can feel the power immediately. I tested it on a steep hill where I live, I didn’t not feel the bike was slower than a flat surface while climbing. I think the manufacturer programmed the speed limit to 20miles/hour for safety but it is definitely powerful. It is great for someone who is on the heavy side. The ride is smooth and comfortable. The saddle is super comfortable and the seat post has a shock absorption system. What can be improved: Key hole design: It took me a long time to find the key hole to turn on the bike, and the key hole is upside down pointing upwards. I have many keys in my chain am not sure if I feel secure enough to insert the key along with my chain of keys. Water-bottle Carrier: There is no way I can easily put water bottle on this bike. I guess that’s a design trade off of being foldable. Lights: The bike does not come with head or tail lights. I guess it is also because it is foldable. I don't write reviews often but I really wanted to for this one. I figured I'd share some helpful info for anyone looking to buy one as well to answer some questions I had when purchasing. I've got just over 100 miles on mine and so far so good. I got about 85 miles out of my first charge. Mainly since I ride it as a normal pedal bike, using the throttle to help with starts, headwinds, or hills. When riding alone I usually hang out in pedal assist level 1 and put in moderate effort myself. The cadence based motor works really well and isn't too abrupt as it brings you to speed at that level. The 7 speed drive train also allows you to have good pedal authority at all assist levels so you can help the bike as much as you'd like. Despite having live forks and no suspension it rides pretty well on pavement and packed gravel trails with the tires at 35psi. Oraimo has been excellent in terms of communication. They have phone, live chat, and email channels to which they have been very responsive with and helped me through any questions I had about the bike. The pedal assist levels correlate to the following speeds: 1 - 12 mph 2 - 14 mph 3 - 16 mph 4 - 18 mph 5 - 20 mph My only wish for this bike is that the user could change those speed settings. It would make more sense to use a broader range if you have 5 levels. Have level 1 start at 6 miles per hour and then increment up to 20. 12mph is too fast for urban use or certain trails that might have higher bike/pedestrian traffic. Luckily the throttle helps bridge this gap since it's fully analog and can be used to maintain speeds as low as 2mph. The only other tips I have to share would be to reset your trip meter, hold Mode and - for about 2 seconds and if you need to remove the rear wheel for any reason, the nut is an 18mm so I had to buy a one off socket for it. Also, when reinflating the tire after service, be sure the bead is set correctly all the way around, on both sides! Overall great bike.
