Description

The panorama view in connection with the 2.5 brightness level - as well as the detailed colour rendering - makes it possible for the welder to experience an entirely new visual dimension. Fully automated welding mask with extra-large field of vision: the nose cutout floats above the nose to position the auto- darkening filter closer to the welder's eyes. The Optrel Panoramaxx offers a 6 times larger field of view compared to standard welding helmets. True-Color filter protects at shade levels 2.5/5-12M with Autopilot (automatic shade selection), +/- 2 individual shade-preference adjustment, sensitivity control and opening delay with optional twilight function. Features a high-performance solar cell and a lithium-polymer energy pack that can be recharged with a USB- cable, the panoramaxx is fast becoming the energy-independent, maintenance- free welding helmet for professional users. The peripheral vision + crystal clear clarity this thing provides is unparalleled. Not as durable as other offerings out there, but for bench welding this thing is the best there is. I was still able to fit a 3m half mask respirator under this, despite how close the lens fits to your eyes. Really impressed with this thus far, very good sensitivity range. Big external button for grind mode, and a blinking blue light that you can see through the lense to let you know its on. Such impressive features. Love the comfort fit, the light weight, the view is crystal clear! Only downside is they say 180° view and in reality is about 90° or an average welding helmet

Awesome hood! In the Boilermakers union and need a durable hood.. 1 year later it’s still holding up and I love the comfort and larger viewing area and especially like the outside grind mode button!

Not my first Optrel hood. Started using them 10 years ago and have yet to find another hood close to the clarity of Optrel. Absolutely love the warranty on them. I work mostly on heavy equipment, pile splices, and structural for major construction projects and still would not choose another.

The awesomest crap. Quality parts and design come together to be over thought and underwhelming....yup you heard me. I wish i hadent bought this over priced helmet. For all its stellar looks and great "IDEAS" this peace of equipment just doesn't deliver. Way to sensitive photo eyes, through 2 welding screens the guy next to me, triggers the auto darkening feature....now I can't see what I'm doing. On the lowest setting. The delay feature has this great twilight mode that slowly transitions to normal viewing but wait there's more. You also enjoy flash burn repeatable if you have to tack weld while your helmet is in transition. The edges of the viewing area digress to less dark so the weld is brighter if the arc is just a touch outside of center of your view. Yup now its to bright. The automatic mode.....oh goodie.....bring the suckage please.....when you TIG in auto you get flash at every start up. And during MIG or TIG if the arc casts a shadow on your lens it will adjust by becoming even brighter, while combined with the edges also becoming brighter you're sure to go blind sooner rather than later. The head gear does not stay up in the half position. So poorly designed that one side of the adjustment nob becomes increasingly tighter while the other looser. And so the adjustment of how you face sits inside the helmet changes throughout the day. Things I am impressed with....Quality parts. It does not feel cheap at all. The viewing area is tremendously awesome. The clarity is the single best I've seen. ... show more
