Great product, arrived very quickly, assembled by one person although they recommend three, two would have been easier. I had limited space next to my Weider cage and this unit fit perfectly. A definite value for the money. I got a smith machine primarily for four exercises (squat, standing calf raises, overhead press, and incline press) but with the versatility of this machine there are lots of exercises that can be performed. Here are some things I noted: - assembled cross bar weight is ~18 lbs which is cumbersome when changing weights, they should have made this 25 lbs. So I attached 3.5 lbs of ankle weights to each side and made the overall weight 25 lbs. - the angle braces (parts 2 and 47) have an open hole which worked out perfectly for me to store an extra Olympic bar I have, plus this added weight to the unit to help it not move. - the assembly instruction manual has great drawings and clear directions. At the end of each step they say "Do not tighten the Locknuts yet." Wish they would have also said why, which is because once you get it all assembled you need to get the unit level, so get a magnetic level and check and adjust as you tighten to ensure you get the unit level. My garage floor has a small slope so I did have to use a few washers on one side to help. - I was worried that any small smith machine might be wobbly and or move during use, but this unit is solid and does not move during use. I have a 45 lb weight on each of storage tubes (part 27) for added help. - the bar carriage slides (part 38) do not bind and slide easily, make sure you get the correct one on each side.

Here to give you all the details. The machine comes in 2 different boxes 1 is long and about 80 pounds and one is normal size and about 80 pounds. It was delivered right to my garage door where it was being assembled. The instructions are decent they are a little tricky at first. I was only missing one locknut which is easy to replace. You will only need one other person for attaching the top pull up bar. Otherwise I did everything by myself. The cables would probably be easier if you had 2nd person. The main tool that will help you is a socket wrench. Use that along with one of the wrenches they give you to tighten everything. Overall it took around 4-5 hours with breaks. The machine is great. The low cable only goes so high so delt raises are a little tough. Make sure on the base you have the foot plates face you. I think this machine was well worth it and it adds much more workouts to your routine. The assembly wasn’t too bad.
