In the picture it looks more plush and shiny but in real life it’s not as fluffy. The finish is matte which is nice too. I like that it’s easy to clean and will not get dirty quickly. Have not slept on it yet but it’s sturdy to sit on. Easy to put together takes about an hour. Have help if you can because it is very heavy out the box. I rarely write reviews. This is probably my third ever, and probably the first where I won't get something for it. The great: It looks nice, and the adjustable features are neat, and the price is good. The good: It is the right amount of comfort, not too firm not too soft. The bad: The back can be flattened so you can lay on it like a mattress, but if you sit on that side, or wake up off of that side, then it could mess up the hinge. Two months in, and one side does not go back up as far as the other. The ugly: I don't know what this cushion is made of. The description says "faxu" leather. I hope that it was a mistake of mispelling "faux" leather, and not some cover up. The thing is, that two months in, the cushion is giving off something that is making me get serious allergies, and I don't get allergic easily. Laying a comforter over the sofa helps for now, and maybe vacuuming the sofa will help. ... show more

    • Junk flat thin padding seperating seams

Not worth the money no way a near 300$ futon, at best a 150$ futon, the padding is so thin,,another amazon enhanced photo, to make you think your getting something nice,,it is so thin, i even let it sit 24 hr for the foam to poof up some, it never did,,see the front frame under the seat cushion, that front frame will dig up into the back of your thighs bad, the padding is so thin on top of that edge ,this is probably the most uncomfortable couch or futon I have ever sat on, and lets not even talk about the middle frame section when you lie on it ,,,also the seams in the seat, there is a square where the seams meet they make an intersection right under your rump on both sides you sit right on top of that seam criss cross, and in less than a week those seams are opening up spreading apart some and you can see the white threading showing in the seam,it looks terrible. I have had to take a black fine point sharpie and color the whitish threads black so it will look nice like it did when I opened it,,terrible cheap quality. If your getting it for a 7 yr old ok,,,but if you want comfortable to sit on,,and seams that don't spread open. Do your self a favor spend another 100 or so and get a small black leather loveseat sleeper that pulls out,like i should have done, you'll be so glad you did. ... show more
