I love this rug. I bought the 5x8blue, but it looks gray in my photo. It’s more like a dusty blue. This rug is soft! I love how it feels on my feet. It does have small rubber dots all over the back. I placed it over a pad, so I don’t know if it slides. It layed flat right out of the package. It was bundled tight and wrapped very well, so I thought it might have creases, but none. Mine does not have any odor. The only instructions were on the tag attached to the rug, which says it’s not made for frequent washing. I may have to take it to a commercial machine, some the rug is do large. Instructions say to hang to dry. I may buy another if this one washes well. Oh, and the rug is not shedding. I’ve used it for only 1 day so far. The only thing I don’t like is that the shag fibers are a woven a little thin, so sometimes I can the the base of the rug.

The rug is very nice. Shag style and very soft. It has a decent amount of padding and it doesn’t slip around much. But I ordered the color “Navy”, and it looked a lot darker on the pictures. It’s more of a Cookie Monster blue. But that’s the only reason I’m returning it, and going to order it in a different color and hope for different results

So here is a quick update. I pulled the trigger too quickly in this review. The rug looks very thin when wet and just washed. But it fluffs up nicely. I live the feel under my feet - perfect for a bedroom - I’m actually going to buy two more. Highly recommend! — Earlier post below. ! I bought it because it was machine washable. And that’s why I’m keeping it. The rug is really thin which reminded me of my boyfriend slowly losing his hair…

After experiencing this with the rug, the company reach out and refunded my money. Washed this rug and the it stuck together and crunched up. It never laid flat after washing. Don't buy this if you ever need to wash it. Wasted money
