We love this rug. We got it for my toddlers new "big girl" room and the first few nights she didn't want to read books in bed, she wanted to sit on the rug. It is so soft and feels great under your feet. I don't even have a rug pad underneath and it feels great. It also looks really nice, and she likes to make designs with the long fibers dragging her feet around. I have not tried vacuuming with my big plug in vacuum, but I used my rechargeable stick vacuum on it and it worked perfectly. No pulling or anything and it picked up the debris on the floor. I have a setting for high pile carpet on my plug-in vacuum which would likely to just fine on it as well. Just hasn't been necessary as the stick vacuum is more convenient and does the job. It is not very heavy at all, the size appears to be exactly as described. There was a very slight smell when I first opened the package but it went away very quickly, it wasn't even a concern.

I ordered 2 of these rugs and at first they were very nice and so soft but after a year they are definitely far from their original appearance. The nice thing is that you can wash them in the washer which was a huge plus but be aware that they do get matted. Vacuuming has become very complicated as the top and bottom of the carpet are separated and get caught in the vacuum and pull the rug. I would not recommend this rug to anyone unless it is out in a very low traffic area. Update: I was contacted by the vendor and They went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. With this type of customer service we would be willing to try more of their products.

We are in a 2 adult home, fairly clean people. We got this rug for the sofa coffee table area and it fit well. When we first got it it had a couple of waves in it that never really went away but strategically pulling it and setting the couches on it helped. After a few weeks it was evident you can't vacuum it adequately. You can feel every speck of whatever you track in on the rug when you're barefoot. It also matted read bad where you rest you're feet while you're sitting. We ended up throwing it away. It's very soft and comfortable but the negatives just really outweigh the positives.

he Ophanie 8x10 Area Rug is a beautiful addition to my living room! The shag texture is soft and comfortable, and the grey color is versatile, blending well with my decor. It definitely adds a cozy, inviting touch to the space. However, I’m giving it 4 stars because the rug arrived with noticeable wrinkles, which took some effort to flatten out. Additionally, it’s a bit thinner than I expected, so it doesn’t feel as plush as I had hoped. That said, it’s still a great rug for the price and does its job of making the room feel warmer and more comfortable. If it were slightly thicker and came in better condition out of the package, it would easily be a 5-star product!

The media could not be loaded. This rug is HUGE and fits perfectly in our bedroom! It would also be an excellent choice for a living or family room under a couch. The rug is incredibly soft and fluffy—exactly as described. While the rug itself isn’t very thick, the softness completely makes up for it and adds a cozy feel. One thing to note: I got medical tape stuck in the fluffy fibers, and it’s been tricky to remove—it might even require a small cut. Thankfully, the fluff is so long that it wouldn’t be noticeable. Bottom line: the material, size, and color are fantastic. Love it!

The rug is soft and pretty but it’s hard to vacuum. Stuff stays stuck in it even after vacuuming. Unfortunately I missed the return window.

This rug looks great in my living room! The padding is thinner than I expected but the shag is great under my feet! I have all tile in my house but I like carpet under my feet in the living room. It took a few days to "shape up" because it comes tightly packed. It is amazing after a few days, though. It is very soft and pretty. The color matched the Amazon pics. I love this rug!
