If you've never tried an shokz product, you should. I have a hearing impairment and in-ear solutions are not an option. Moreover, over the ear gets fatiguing. I ordered the original version and had them for maybe 4 years, but the mic started to slip, so ordered the OpenComm2, and these are superior in both the charging cable (it is now a USB-C, not the wonky magnetic one), sound quality (seems better clarity) and folks say better mic. Battery life is about the same, lasting most of 9 hours. Best of all, they are compact, comfortable, and work with two units, so I can have my phone and laptop connected concurrently, though only one will operate at a time. Summary: I highly recommend for folks who don't want to wear a headset, or like me, can't. The bone conduction really works. ... show more

If you are thinking of buying, you should definitely spend the extra money for this set of headphones. The product is light weight and does not bother my ears. The boom mic is excellent. My wife always complained about being able to hear me on my old (other brand) of headphones. I tried calling in the car wash and the other end could not hear all the racket that was going on with the blowers and spray nozzles. Even took out most wind noise, standing outside in the wind. Comes with a nice case, battery life has been great. I have been able to go 3 to 4 days listening to music and talking. The app is nice but does not have a lot of options for EQ. Pretty much music or talking are your two options. I have not had issues with it vibrating my face off when talking to people on the phone. And like I said tried it in the car wash and was able to hear the person on the other end just fine. The music volume is pretty loud as well. I run it as low as I can and it is a little loud sometimes to hear things in the room. Connects instantly when turned on. Definitely worth the money. Only complaint would be the pictures in the product description are a little different than the actual device. Mine uses USB-C to charge not the magnetic charger. ... show more

So many times the question comes: “I’m sorry, I didn’t catch what you said; could you repeat that?” But FINALLY. With these, I’ve actually found myself not using any other headphones for most of my daily use, especially phone calls. The calls are crystal clear, you can stay aware of your surroundings because of the bone conduction, and you can also really hone in the sound by getting to wear ear plugs that increases the direct sound (I usually wear Loops, and it’s SO nice not having to swap headphone to Loop and back all the time). They fit nice, and I was concerned about wearing them all day (if feeling slight headache in the beginning as my ears adjusted to these), but I now find I forget I have them on. I can connect to two devices at the same time without having to swap (so nice), and once connected, all I have to do is turn these on, connecting automatically. The boom mic and the body seems very durable after wearing these for many weeks; in fact, I haven’t needed the case at all and don’t use it. If I don’t wanna use them, I just let them hang around my neck. Great product. ... show more

I liked this so much I now have 4 of them so I have a backup in each of the 2 scenarios I use them in - home and truck. I always have a charged one in case I need to swap out. These are clear, have great range and connectivity. I am a truck driver and these have the best noise-canceling mic I ever used. The truck can be running and I can be outside near the engine and the person I am talking with just hears me. These are the perfect trucker headset. They hold charge for a couple days of use. Since they don't cover the ear, it's legal and a great option for most companies' drivers. ... show more

The sound quality is incredible, it sounds like the person is right there and the microphone is great. But unfortunately, it seems to be sized for a large man’s head. it fits really loose so I can’t put my head back because it’s a stiff wire. And the weight on my ears is really heavy and if I have my hair down, then that creates more heaviness and I end up with a pounding headache. If I have my hair up, it fits better as far as the weight goes, but who wants to have their hair up all the time without the option of letting it down. They honestly need to make another size of this so that it could fit. They made one that fit and wasn’t as heavy on my ears and didn’t give me a headache. I would buy it immediately but unfortunately, after about an hour or two it’s just unbearable. Not sure if the bone conduction is part of that reason. ... show more

    • Extraordinarily long return time with an unexplained delay for an item that hurt my husband's ears.

These bothered my husband's ears. The vibration at any volume level was uncomfortable. I initiated a return and dropped the item off at a whole foods across town on May 30th. Whole foods is owned by Amazon and it was an Amazon return center that I dropped them off at mind you. So it said they would begin processing the return on June 6th after they receive the item even though they received the item at the return center on the 30th. June 6th came and suddenly the f return is "delayed" and they haven't received it yet .....still. now it's the 11th and there's still this unexplained delay on a refund because they still haven't received the item even though I handed it off the an Amazon return center on May 30th. So what's the delay? Why is it still not received? The item always not cheap. I'd like my refund. The item was uncomfortable to use, not just oh he doesn't want it....it hurt his ears to use it. Refund please. Someone look into this. It feels like a scam. ... show more

The headset itself is awesome, I can hear whats playing and whats around me very well. The boom mic is very clear and gets the job done, but i hate the way it looks and when i rotate it back when i am not on a call it presses against my ear and causes pain. This would be 5 starts if the mic was removable when not in use. I bought my wife a set of the OpenRun and the microphone on them is very good if not just as good as this. I am looking into sending these back and getting myself a set of those. ... show more
