    • Maybe I got a bad unit?
EXTREMELY difficult to get this thing to ignite. Once ignited and I’m done baking it will not turn off. Have to turn off propane tank. After it cools then it will shut off. Maybe the one I got is defective if not this thing needs to go back to the drawing board. Not very happy with the “quality” at all. ... show more

    • Works fine, but a pain to adjust
Adjusting the flame is a pain. You turn the dial slightly and the flame gets twice the size. You can’t do it without going back and forth to keep checking with every tiny twist. Since you turn the flame up between pizzas to get the temp up, and then back down to not burn the pizza, you end up doing this a lot. It would help some if they at least put markings on the dial, but I doubt it would be consistent anyway. The company should know that while I love the oven, it’s frustrating enough to have me look at other brands when the day comes to replace it. ... show more

Works awesome. I love the ability to control the flame with a knob instead of more or less wood. Preheating is quicker than using wood. As far as taste, I can’t really tell the difference over using wood.

    • won't stay lit
I was excited about this because it makes using the Ooni Karu 16 flexible. However, it is difficult to lite. The spark igniter rarely works and it's brand new! I have to use a lighter. Then it shuts itself off at the most inappropriate time. Will not stay lit!!!!! Don't blame the propane because I tried two different tanks. No where in the literature does it say there is a "auto" shut off. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It works as expected and straightforward for my Ooni Karu 16. I now make Neapolitan pizza almost every Saturday if weather permits.

    • Lighter doesn’t work
For a $100+ attachment to my Ooni, I expected decent performance. The lighting mechanism stopped working after the second try. Support said “this tends to happen, please make sure it is gapped at 3MM.” First off- quality control needs to be better if this is a “common problem”.. Secondly, why does Ooni expect me to gap my own spark plugs instead of replacing it outright? Hopefully they can get this resolved in a reasonable fashion. ... show more
