I was a little concerned when I got these -- they came folded in half. But they ended up straightening out for the most part. You can see a bit of a gap in one of the photos about center-way down -- that where it was folded. But I don't think it affects the performance really. I was also surprised that they weren't more transparent -- nearly solid white. I think they would be easy enough to trim with some good scissors. I've got a bit extra hanging off I just haven't bothered about. They clean easily enough with a scrubber. The ones I had at my earlier house were metal. I think these are an improvement -- they're wider and I think they'll do a better job stopping liquids spilling down -- other than that one gap, of course. The items arrive rolled up since they are flexible, installation took like 10 seconds, they seem to be durable but i need to spend more time cleaning them since theres oil on it. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star review is because they are packaged folded over, which has resulted in a small bulge midway along the cover. We purchased these so we didn't have to keep pulling the stove out to clean the slides. The only reserve I would have is placing a cutting board on them to work, the vinyl plastic they use allows the board to slip when chopping or deboning causing the cutting board to person to cut themselves. These simple strips solve the problem of food/grease dropping between the stove and the counters. Simply lay them down with minimal pressure needs and problem solved. Very easy to wipe down in place with a sponge or remove for a more thorough cleaning.

These were just as described, fitting between counter and appliance. In my case I'm using them between the sink and a separate butcher block counter top that is next to the sink but not attached or integrated. The work well.
