Mine arrived in generic but product specific packaging, clearly made for this item. Simple and effective, no damage. Sub looks undamaged. Paired normally, easy to connect. It did a software update on the sub automatically as part of the setup. Not sure if this ever ran or not previously, but sounds really good and have no issues so far. Wow. I wasn't really pleased with my Roku soundbar because it sounded a little on the tinny side but rather than give up on it, I invested in this thing and I'm impressed. Sounds like a whole new system now. Easiest hook-up in the world and a pretty good value for $109. As long as it's within 25 feet of the soundbar you can put it anywhere. ... show more

Subwoofer arrived- packed well. Unit was unforgivably dusty- with clumped dust bunnies- nobody could wipe this thing off? Set up fine... except all it does is make loud static bursts- not working. Requested replacement.

I love it. Nice deep bass. Works best if you place the subwoofer in a corner or somewhere the bass can bounce off. I don't know of another entertainment system that sounds better than this one anywhere close to its price, good value. I suggest to also buy the 4 satellite speakers with the sound bar or else you might find silent spots in the playback. Turning the volume up just makes it more frustrating, works better with the complete setup. Spend the extra money. You can also go into the menu on you Roku and adjust the base volume and sound too. Connectivity with Roku home entertainment equipment for me is usually very confusing and time consuming. I had to look on YouTube to get everything to work together. Once you get over that hurtle, the system works great and so far, have not given me any problems. I get compliments all the time of how good the surround sound works and of course the bass. ... show more

My speaker seems to be in great shape. It was not packaged great but not as badly as some of the photos and yes it was dusty. As other have said it is not put into the sound system to thump but to separate the base and enhance the overall sound. This is what I was looking for so it works well for me. If you are looking for a different sound this may not be for you. ... show more

Works GREAT with the Roku Streambar SE... Surprised I am....Streambar improved the streaming and some of the sound, so that was good BUT, the ONN SUBWOOFER, Surprised med me, easy setup, great sound, sounds like it's coming straight from the tv.....very enjoyable.
