Only Santas in the Building was a decent read, but it didn’t completely blow me away. As part of a collection of Christmas novellas, it stood out as one of the better stories in the group, but it still felt a bit rushed and lacked depth. The setup is fun—Evie, a comic book illustrator, fantasizing about her charming neighbor, and the Santa-themed party provides a great festive backdrop.     • So adorable
I loved so much about this. Having just had a death in my own family, it resonated with me as the FMC was facing her first Christmas without her own loved one. The side characters were fun. The MMC was seriously swoon worthy.

Evie definitely has a cool job even if she holes herself up until the job is done. She’s an artist working on the art for a graphic novel series. I should mention that she is crushing on Theo, who lives on the floor above her. I love that anytime Evie and Theo would bump into each other she always looked messy which, of course made her think he wouldn’t like her. I love that another person in the building has themed Christmas parties and it would help spice things up. I really think Evie and Theo are adorable together. I love that Mrs. Greene and Mr. Barnes, her neighbor and the host, were in cahoots in trying to get them together at the party. I love that they were knew Theo liked Evie. I really loved this book and the series. I think was the perfect book to finish the series. ... show more

    • A Cute, Quick Read
I liked this book. I was willing to give it a 3 although it was closer to a 2.5. It felt more realistic than the rest.of the series, but I feel like we got a small portion of what could have been a much better story. Evie is a fun relatable character who is overworked and fighting with grief at the holidays. She also has had her eyes on the gorgeous neighbor that lives upstairs. There were some sweet and funny moments and while I'm not a huge fan of falling so fast for each other, I didn't hate it. Did bug me the name was the same as a character earlier in the collection, but they read like totally different characters, so a minor complaint.     • A great end to the series
This final installment in the Under the Mistletoe series was another great addition! Evie works from home as a comic illustrator and is often pressured to really dig in to make her deadlines. This leaves her little social time and definitely not enough time to dig out the holiday decorations for celebration. This has not gone unnoticed! Someone is leaving her cute little ornaments, but it's not who she thinks it is. (And seriously, this is not a spoiler. If you don't know who it is from the start, I don't know what to tell you.) And she is such a sweetheart for wanting to return the favor. She also has a super hottie for an upstairs neighbor, who is all too eager to help her out whenever she is in need. And it feels like some others are also conspiring to help her with her needs. I love it when a geeky girl is able to discover her true inner beauty and can embrace it and get what she really wants. Christmastime is the perfect time to do this. This series ending had me wishing I could do some neighborly baking, too! I would love to have updates in their lives! ... show more

Out of the 5 books in this collection, I felt like this one had the most Christmas spirit in it! I enjoyed the cute themed Christmas party. The homemade Christmas ornaments, the guy next door troupe. I’ve been working my way through the Under the Mistletoe collection today, doing the audio of each of them while I get chores done. I had never read/listened anything from this author before. I thought the story was well paced, fun, and sweet. I prefer a little more emotional angst and drama in my romance stories but for a quick holiday novella this was fun. ... show more
