  • A great end to the series
Format: Kindle
This final installment in the Under the Mistletoe series was another great addition! Evie works from home as a comic illustrator and is often pressured to really dig in to make her deadlines. This leaves her little social time and definitely not enough time to dig out the holiday decorations for celebration. This has not gone unnoticed! Someone is leaving her cute little ornaments, but it's not who she thinks it is. (And seriously, this is not a spoiler. If you don't know who it is from the start, I don't know what to tell you.) And she is such a sweetheart for wanting to return the favor. She also has a super hottie for an upstairs neighbor, who is all too eager to help her out whenever she is in need. And it feels like some others are also conspiring to help her with her needs. I love it when a geeky girl is able to discover her true inner beauty and can embrace it and get what she really wants. Christmastime is the perfect time to do this. This series ending had me wishing I could do some neighborly baking, too! I would love to have updates in their lives! ... show more

  • A syrupy sweet quick Christmas romance
Format: Audiobook
Overall rating: 3/5 Spice: 3/5 Narrator: 4/5 Cliffhanger: 0/5 Christmasy-ness: 4/5 This short story was cute and sweet, yet somehow slow even though it was only 64 pages. Evie is comic book artist, mourning her grandmother and trying to settle into her new New York apartment despite her busy schedule. The building’s annual Christmas party is her first opportunity to relax and spend some time with her upstairs’ neighbor/crush. Evie and…I read this an hour ago and I can’t remember his name. That’s the problem with this it’s…forgettable. The characters were likable. The romance was believable. It was Christmasy. It was cozy and low conflict, but for me it was just fine. Cautions: There is spice, not too much, nothing extreme, but definitely open door. People who like sweet and cozy with very little conflict may enjoy this quick little Christmas snack. I didn’t dislike it. ... show more

  • Only Santa
Format: Kindle
A great short story that I wish I had read over the holidays. Romance found that had been brewing for months. This story needs a follow up one for sure.

  • Cute yet Spicy RomCom!
Format: Kindle
This one was so much fun! It was a kicking my feet and squealing kind of cute and I love that! The FMC was hilarious and her neighbors secretly conspiring to help her and the MMC was the icing on the cake😂 My only complaint was the speed in which they got together. While I understand it’s a novella and meant to be fast-paced, it just didn’t seem as realistic for them to have sex once and say “I’m falling for you,” even though they’ve only had a handful of conversations prior to that. And the spice was very spicy but not like SPICING spicy🥴 but still spicy enough to be satisfying!🫠 Other than that, I did really enjoy it! ... show more

  • Cute and Festive, but Nothing Groundbreaking
Format: Kindle
Only Santas in the Building was a decent read, but it didn’t completely blow me away. As part of a collection of Christmas novellas, it stood out as one of the better stories in the group, but it still felt a bit rushed and lacked depth. The setup is fun—Evie, a comic book illustrator, fantasizing about her charming neighbor, and the Santa-themed party provides a great festive backdrop. There are some flirty and steamy moments that are enjoyable, and Alexis Daria’s writing has a playful vibe that fits the holiday theme. That said, the story didn’t have enough time to really develop the characters or their relationship in a satisfying way. It’s a quick and light read that’s perfect for an evening in, but I wouldn’t call it particularly memorable. If you’re looking for something short and sweet to get you in the holiday spirit, this one might do the trick, but don’t expect it to leave a lasting impression. ... show more

  • Theo was very swoony!
Format: Kindle
Thank goodness this series finished with a good story, I was getting very nervous about it. But this authors story was sweet and endearing. I really felt the chemistry between Evie and Theo who both had a secret crush on each other for months. With Evie on a deadline for work, she didn’t pick up the hints Theo was throwing out there, so a little neighborly intervention helped them along. Even though it’s a short story, it ended well enough that I had a good HEA vibe for them. I’ll be looking at other books this author has written for future reads. ... show more

  • When they live in the same building
Format: Kindle
Evie definitely has a cool job even if she holes herself up until the job is done. She’s an artist working on the art for a graphic novel series. I should mention that she is crushing on Theo, who lives on the floor above her. I love that anytime Evie and Theo would bump into each other she always looked messy which, of course made her think he wouldn’t like her. I love that another person in the building has themed Christmas parties and it would help spice things up. I really think Evie and Theo are adorable together. I love that Mrs. Greene and Mr. Barnes, her neighbor and the host, were in cahoots in trying to get them together at the party. I love that they were knew Theo liked Evie. I really loved this book and the series. I think was the perfect book to finish the series. ... show more
