I've owned a Steam Deck, Legion Go, and Ayn Odin 2, along with a Switch and several smaller handhelds. Steam deck lacked the horsepower and RAM to run newer titles and the LCD screen was lacking. The Legion Go was very good and the screen was superb, but the ergonomics were terrible and it was exceedingly heavy. Holding it more than an hour became challenging and painful in the palms. It also lacked enough RAM to play a lot of modern titles smoothly or some modded Skyrim. I loved my Odin 2's ergonomics, it was the most comfortable, the only thing it lacked was performance since it used a Snapdragon chip, so it was limited to emulation and Android titles. Then I found the OneXFly. I bought mine direct from OneXPlayer, refurbished for around $750. They are rather overpriced considering you get similar specs from an Ally X, but the Ally X is ugly and looks like a first generation device. 32GB if RAM is enough to share with the GPU, I set VRAM to 10GB and always have enough. The OneXFly has a similar form factor to the Odin 2, except it is wider for the larger screen. It runs cooler than the Legion Go did, which got really loud at full load. I've played this thing daily for hours and I never tire. If it lasts, OneX will have a loyal customer. The only drawback to be is that the software seems a bit janky, but I guess it works. The screen isn't the best quality LCD, but it also is good enough. Those are the only reasons I'm not giving it 5 stars. ... show more

Something happened to the SSD that caused the drive to become crupt. The system restore wouldn't work. I contacted One Xplayer tech support they sent me links to download the software. I did as they said and booted into the bios and booted from the flash drive I made to restore the drive. It would not work. So I tried just going to Microsoft and download the Windows 11 media creator and installed Windows. It worked fine had the drivers and got everything going. I would had been happy at this point but there was no way to install the control software. Only way tech support said to do it was to boot from the flash drive using the software that didn't work the first time. If there was an executable file to download and run I'd give them 4 stars but there isn't so 1 star. I called Amazon and they tried to help me but couldn't so I'm returning it. Not sure if I will buy another or get something else like a ROG Ally X. For the few days it did work it was great and again if I could had installed the control software I'd be fine but there is no way to just install it. So no way to control the LCD, power or turbo features. ... show more

    • A Portable Powerhouse!
The ONE XPLAYER OneXfly is a compact handheld gaming PC designed for people who want to play high-quality games on the go. Weighing just 580 grams, it features a 7-inch 1080p IPS display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, delivering crisp and fluid visuals. Powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor and 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, it offers robust performance for a wide range of games. And while its performance is nice, the most important factor to me is how comfortable it is to hold in the hands. The back has these contoured grips that just mold into your hands, regardless of the size. It feels like holding a smaller steam deck. The weight distribution is solid too. People don't realize that how a device is arranged on its inside, determines how it feels to hold for long periods of time. You can have a heavier object with ergonomic grips and hand rests that will feel lighter, than a 'technically' lighter one, that has no ergo whatsoever. The ONEXfly thankfully is the former. You might think the price is high for what's on offer, but I disagree. Not too many 8840u based devices with 120HZ screens and actually tuned performance. The chip powering this device actually had some work put inti it to make it perform better than stock. That should definitively be appreciated. Don't sleep on this one! ... show more
