I got the xxl size, for a 34.5 in waist. This brace doesn't even close. Either it was mislabeled, or the sizing chart needs to be updated. I was really excited about it, because it has features that other back support braces I own doesn't have. Like the removable silicone lumbar detail. That was what I was looking forward to the most. I tend to slouch a lot, so this helps me sit up straighter if my lower back starts to get sore. The only issue is it smells so bad that I had to air it out for several days before I could wear it, but even then it has a lingering chemical smell. The added cushion is nice.

I suffer from lower back pain & sciatica. Lifting cases of product each day takes a toll on my back. This brace is super comfortable to wear over an undershirt. Nice to remove the lumbar support when I don’t need it. Gets me through the day and keeps my posture in check.

There's a smell so make sure to air it our. The fabric and sticking seems well made my problem is that it runs small so make sure to size up, I measured and ordered a L I am normally a medium and even then it doesn't wrap comfortably. So size up a size and maybe too if u have a baby pouch like myself. I'd I were ro gain any weight this won't work for me anymore. The thing u put in the pouch has a bit of weight to it but also it seems very durable. If I could suggest something to the makers of this I would suggest making the material a bit stretcher so that it be a bit more comfortable for all the wear specially if u bend over or sir alot that would make it easier to handle Update. The seller was prompt to contact me and sending me a replacement that actually fit and updated their measuring and sizing. After receiving the size I request it fits perfect with room even I actually slept in it with the cushion in place and I reduced my lower back pain. I e worn it all day when I feel I need support and I am comfortable in it. Sitting, bending, nursing my baby, standing and doing chores around the house and as me tinned before i was even able to sleep with it on. Now that it's been made right it's worth the purchase. I ended up gifting the other one to my mother inlaw who fit into it so win win. She also wears it for work. She cleans houses and has mentioned it's helped alot with her back pain too. ... show more

There is no way this is for a 40" waist. Good concept though. It's heavy and well made. The velcro is strong. But yeah, can't review if it works or is comfortable because it is not even close to being able to fit.
