We bought one of the 1st OneTigris hot tents available a few years ago. Super happy to have an affordable hot tent that was compatible with hammocks! Not exaggerating we used it over 100 times. Several multi-day trips, any trip where we wanted privacy. One trip we brought it along just so people would have a private place to change etc. It worked amazingly. How can you top that, I ask? With this tent! 1) The zippers! Definitely an improvement over the last model. These are the same zippers I have on my waterproof bags (Kings trek and RTIC). 2) the stove jack! I love how they redesigned it! Overall much better. The hole for the chimney is the perfect exact size! 3) WINDOWS! Need I say more? 4) Vents are great! I didn't know how it would effect using the tent, and I noticed that it helped regulate the temperature during the day (when the stove wasn't in use). I can't say how it effected the temperature at night while the stove was in use, because I was warm and toasty and slept really well! Haha. 5) The heat reflective lining! Even with the tent being much larger than what we were used to, my hubby said we used the same amount of firewood as we did to heat the small tent. 6) I loved how adjustable the openings were. Because the zippers were better quality, I couldn't easily pull one side of the tent to unzip it, I had to use 2 hands (I plan on rubbing wax on them next time). We'll, every time I went to the tent, I was carrying an armful of stuff that I had to set down, then unzip the tent, and pick my stuff back up. Annoying. I ended up staking down one side of the zipper door so I could use the zipper pull to open it. And when going in and out a lot, I was able to not only use the toggle to hold the tent door open, I was able to go one more and open half of the side and toggle it too! Putting it back when I was done was super easy. All in all, very happy with this purchase. Now I have to figure out what to do with my old hot tent! ... show more

I've used this tent in all seasons and I love it. First off it's a palace. This tent is huge! Very easy to setup regardless of other reviews saying otherwise. I have poles for the sides which makes it even easier to setup than finding branches which would word too. In the winter with a heat source this tent gets cozy. In the spring, summer, or fall having the vents and windows open is very nice and keeps the tent pretty even temperature. It doesn't have a floor. However, if you're like me and want one you make your own which is exactly what I did with a tarp, foam floor pieces, and a small rug. This tent is like a home away from home for long camping adventures. This is my go to for trips over three nights. I absolutely love it and recommend it if you're in the market. I can see why at the time of this review this tent is not rated well. I'm giving it 5 stars because I had a decent idea what I was getting into before I bought it, and I got it for $200 which was a fair tradeoff for me. I guess I should be thanking those that gave it poor reviews. Anyway, this is intended to remain up for the duration of a Buffalo, NY winter. I will be putting in a stove later this month once I see the Black Friday deals. It was important to me to have correct tension and support to withstand snow, and other nasty types of frozen precipitation. I staked and guy lined every reinforced point on the tent to do this. For the non reinforced guy line loops, I used bungee cords so as not to put too much pressure on the stitching under heavy winds. Time will tell. I was going to go rock fortress but the upgraded stove jack on this one in addition to its lower height off the ground sold this one for me. I also found it necessary to remove any drooping in the roof with a center support, a 2x4 with a towel duct taped to the top of it. If I were to take this tenting, I would have all my guy lines preset, attached to speed up the setup. If someone were to take this camping, I can see how someone could be easily frustrated. If you had to set this up in crappy weather, you better have another person helping, it's not an easy one person setup. Anyway, for what I'm doing with this and the price, size, it's perfect for me. This is very hard to set up. You would think they would have to top two center loops and the bottom two loops a different color to make it easier to set up. When setting it up, and I don't recommend this to anyone camping out, you have to set is up under trees so you can tie out the straps where they made it to take poles, but don't send you any poles even at the cost of it. If it had color coded straps, came with poles so it would have to be set up under trees with lots of limbs, I believe it would be a very good tent. The one thing that really made me mad was the fact they advertise this as you can fit two cots in it with a wood stove. If you have baby cots, the ones that are not comfortable at all you might be able to get two in there. If you use adult cots that lift you up off the ground because of no floor being in the tent, it is useless. ... show more
