  • Incredible Phone and Value!
Size: 256GB Color: Mint Breeze
Update 2-8-26: I forgot to mention the battery on this beast. The performance on this 7400mAh battery is incredible. I can get 1hr and about 15 minutes of screen time and lose about 5% of the battery. If I do that with my iPhone or any of my Pixel phones, I would drop about 20-25% battery with that amount of screen time. That is crazy and it backs up OnePlus' claim of about at least one full day of battery with "very heavy use"...Wow! Also I have NOT encountered any quality control issues with this phone whereas I have with several Pixel phones. I have purchased many mid-range phones including an iPhone 13 and several Pixel phones. The OnePlus 15r has only phones that cost at least $900-1400 as its competition. I read that there are rumors that OnePlus may exit the US market. I sincerely hope that's not true, because they make great phones. I received my first OnePlus phone. I have read they make great phones so I wanted to try them. I tend to shy away from flagship phones as I try avoiding to spend more than $600. I bought the OnePlus 15r with Amazon's free gift card offer. I couldn't pass that up and I am glad I did not. The OnePlus 15r is a phone that rivals a flagship. Performance is incredible. Everything on this phone is silky smooth. Downloads are incredibly fast, Oxygen OS updates downloaded and installed within 3-4 minutes, asking me for a restart. Typically a small update on my Pixel 9a takes 20-25 minutes from start to finish. The screen refresh rate is so silky smooth whether it is set to 165Hz variable or at 60Hz. The 60Hz refresh rate feels like 120Hz on any other phone. Perhaps that could be to the Snapdragon Gen 8 SoC. But what a dream how this phone performs. I tried a Pixel 9 Pro and returned it because I had issues with the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It was so hit and miss. Google's answer was to buy screen protectors they approved. With the OnePlus 15r, I purchased a clear case with two screen protectors from Amazon and the ultrasonic fringerprint sensor, instantly reads my thumb instantly and 100% of the time. Not so with the Pixel 9 Pro. The screen is extremely bright where you can use it in direct sunlight. It has a version of Apple's TruTone technology. I prefer cooler colors so I disable it. The screen is very big but it is about the size of a Samsung Ultra or Pixel Pro XL. I like big phones so the size doesn't matter to me. If you are on the fence about a OnePlus phone, hurry and grab the deal Amazon is still offering before it expires. You won't regret the purchase! ... show more

(First some context - feel free to skip to the next paragraph) My previous phone was a Oneplus Nord CE 5G which I have had since 2022 and I loved that phone like a child. After almost 4 years it was still as good as new, but disaster struck as it slipped out of my hand and went flying over the guard rails onto the pavement below while going down a flight of stairs. The impact from the 4m drop was severe enough to crack the screen and make it unusable even though the phone hit the pavement face-up. Still, apart from the broken screen/interface the phone was still working (WiFi & USB included) and I could save all the important data using adb and ssh. Since OnePlus models are not readily available in my country, I decided to import this model - at a total cost 3x as much as I have been prepared to pay for any mobile phone up to this point: and I don't regret my decision for a moment. This is one awesome phone, perfectly suited for my purposes. I've researched and compared quite a few other brands and other OnePlus models to this one before proceeding with the order; and yes, you'll find phones in the same price range with better features in certain areas e.g. more powerful cameras, more memory, etc. but I do not think any one of them provides such a comprehensive and balanced package for the price; and on a personal note, many of the "features" I'm referring to don't carry too much weight with me as I don't own a mobile phone in order to take selfies, play games, or waste my life away on social media. Likes: - I have to start with that awesome 7400mAh battery. Please keep in mind that I'm not a gamer, and neither am I a heavy mobile device user; even so, it is worth mentioning that this battery lasts me 7-8 days on a single charge (100% => 20%) and then it takes approximately 45 minutes to charge up to 90%. The smart charging gradually reduces the charging rate, so to get up to full charge may take another 15 minutes (I also need to mention that the phone does have a setting to increase the charging speed even further, but I haven't enabled it - I find the default sufficient and I think the battery will lead a happier & healthier life as a result). - The interface is smooth and fast. Face recognition is top drawer, even in very low light. - Screen size of 6.83". - Fast upload & download speeds. - Super impressive bluetooth range. - No built-in spyware or adware that I have been able to detect so far, unlike some other brands I have worked with recently (I don't want to single out and pick on specific brands, but I'll leave a clue: I'm talking about brands such as the one that starts with an X and ends with Iaomi). - Finally (non-geeks, feel free to skip this): I do not root my phone in order to engage in dubious activities or to customize the living daylights out of it - I do it for ease of use in managing data on my device, removing bloatware & spyware, and for easy access from my laptop/desktop via SSH etc. - see opening paragraph on how this has saved my bacon following the accident involving my previous phone. The main reason I bought that particular phone in the first place is due to the fact that OnePlus always has been, and still is, one of the most root-friendly brands. This model is no exception: Even on Android 16 (with Google getting more and more authoritarian and wanting to dictate what I may and may not do with MY device that I paid for) the rooting process was a breeze. Dislikes: - After several weeks of use: None. ... show more

  • Just a typical android phone
It's an alright phone. Really big but that's that huge battery. The case is very slick so it's hard to hold onto and can slide off surfaces. The display is snappy and smooth. The camera is really not great. It doesn't have an sd card slot, but I guess most of the phones don't these days. The battery does last a relatively long time and I haven't had any issues with apps slowing down or freezing up yet. ... show more

  • Battery forever !!!
If you need speed a high rez screen and insane battery just buy this. I'm not sure why people bash the camera if you one plus yes spec wise it bad. Honestly it take great pictures if your in the right mode. Clean sharp looks good to me . I do not buy it for the camera I was after the display size chip and battery. Awesome phone. Love the quad speakers . There's some tweaks to the software since the alert slider is gone. You can customize that button. It zippy quick and for the price for what you get nothing comes close . I also have the one plus 12 . My 12 camera yes is way bettery but setting that small detail aside the 15r just give you an insane package. Also am running dual sims in this phone no problems. ... show more

One of the best phones I think that has ever been created. This unit works amazing. Super fast, and has a ton on storage. Its keyboard is amazing. The stock software and that is amazing. Highly recommend!

  • Nice phone
It's a good phone but I just don't like the user interface no matter how long I've used it. Also for some reason about 95 gigs are used up in memory despite knowing that all my files amount to about 25 gigs.

  • 100% battery health after 4 months
Been using it for 4 months still at 100% battery health great phone. I just enable the charging limit so I never charge it to more than 80% well worth the money the camera is great it runs super cold due to its insulation and heat management. Night and day difference from my other phones. Even when playing genshi impact it don't get hot just a bit warm. ... show more
