The OneGrill Professional Quality Heavy Duty Rotisserie Motor has been designed to outperform weaker models. Featuring a weather resistant 304 stainless steel housing, heavy duty anti-backlash gear train, and internal cooling fan this motor is recommended for heavy duty applications up to 85 lbs. Loads up to 100 Lbs are possible but must be perfectly balanced; imbalanced applications such as pig or lamb should not exceed 75 lbs. With the ability to fit industry standard 3'' motor mounting brackets this motor can be used for a variety of applications for loads large or small. 5/16" square drive spit rod acceptance. Additional features include: Side mounted on/off switch and needle bearing lifetime lubricated gearbox. 110/120 volt. 27 watt. 2-2.2 rpm. Motor manufactured and assembled in U.S.A. I bought this heavy duty spit rod motor along with the large forks along with the 3/4" large animal spit rod and. When the forks came (and rod/motor), I initially thought they were too narrow and wouldn't fit on the spit rod. I emailed the seller who called me within minutes. He explained that the the forks are designed to be snug, but they might need a light rib on the inside with sandpaper to remove any burrs that were missed. After doing this, the forks fit perfectly (still snug). Their responsiveness to their customers and the quality of their products is beyond compare. I previously bought the smaller (1/2") rod and motor, which also worked very well on smaller items. The only reason I purchased the bigger rod was to be able to roast a whole pig. The media could not be loaded. Along with a heavy duty lazy Susan, I used this to build a rotating platform strong enough to hold people of all sizes so I could capture their likeness in digital 3D on my computer. They do make platforms for this express purpose but one that can handle people cost way over $1000 and I'm cheap. It turns out that the motor turns at just the right speed to capture 3D objects flawlessly with my depth sensor and can handle folks weighing well over 300 pounds. With these 3D objects I am able to create all kinds of personalized gag gifts for family and friends using their likeness in 3D and print them out with my 3D printers, like drinking mugs, PEZ dispensers, dolls, masks, etc. Yeah, I know this is meant for a rotisserie grill, but inventive minds and all that. ... show more

Very solid and we'll constructed. Worked as expected right out of box. Very minor modification / adjustment to make fit grill. Metal gears are more noisy than less expensive models. I do recommend especially if cooking whole chicken or larger pieces of meat.

After having 2x 50 lb electric motors fail due to stripped & broken gears in a year, I decided to purchase this 85 lb electric motor for my rotisserie & have been very happy w/it for the past 3 years. I had not turned anything over 14 lbs w/the 50 lb motors, but have turned a turkey that weighed 15 lbs w/this 85 lb motor. Most often, I turn 7-10 lb chickens. I have turned roasts as well. I cannot say if this motor will turn 85 lbs, but an say it seems to be made well. If you have had smaller motors & they failed, I can confidently say you’ll have better results & reliability w/this motor. It is louder than the smaller ones, but for me, that’s not an issue. ... show more

This rotisserie motor is a beast. It had no problems with the Thanksgiving turkey, or anything else I've thrown at it. As long as you're using it for 20 lbs or less (that's all Ive tried, or will ever try), you won't need to waste a lot of time balancing, unlike the motor that came with my $2200 grill, because this motor is so powerful. This motor does make noise, but I like that so I know when I've turned it off. Nothing else comes close. I love this rotisserie motor ... show more

    • Rotisserie Motors are Somewhat standardized
My Kamado Big Joe setup came with a little, weak motor and 28 lb turkeys were just to much for the little motor. With this new motor I could probably do a pig but my grill is to small. I did have to bend the mount tabs out, turn the motor upside down and Dremel cut some of the mounting flange away to get the motor to sit properly. Just a little backyard engineering.
