  • Sturdy bench
Color: Black
Comfortable and sturdy for an adult. It looks great next to my Casio digital piano.

  • Okay for the price but colour not quite what it seems
Color: Rosewood
First worth noting is that the foam used in the upper is firm so despite being about an inch shorter than my folding bench (with a softer foam on the seat) this feels about the same height in use. As I'm using it on a digital piano (casio privia PX 860 brown) the height seems reasonable but I'd prefer it be an inch or two taller. The overall size and shape is reasonable and so far it feels sturdy enough. The legs have fixed bolts inside them which attach to brackets in the frame under the seat using supplied nuts/washers. You will require a wrench to the install these suitably tightly (finger tight will definitely not suffice). I applied them tightly and noticed the shaft rotated somewhat as I got them to their tightest; this is presumably a negative as it's not clear how the bolts are actually attached within the legs so this may have caused unseen damage (having said that I can't detect any weakness thus far). The main reason for not rating this more highly is the colour. I have the "rosewood" version but as a piece of furniture the colour and finish is quite inconsistent. The seat itself is basically black. The frame supporting the seat and attaching the legs is deep brown with a wood grain texture, very much like my piano's cabinet. The legs, however, are an untextured reddish-brown colour. The look is not bad but not as consistent or well matched to my piano as I had hoped. Overall a serviceable piano bench that I suspect will last reasonably but not entirely the look I was hoping for: acceptable given the price. ... show more

  • Does Not Open/Wrong Photo Used. Not As Indicated By Pictures.
Color: Black
We purchased this, because we thought we were buying a bench seat with a hinged compartment; a place to store our foot pedal and music books. It clearly shows a hinged model in the images for this item. But BEWARE, this model has a fixed seat. There is no hinge, no compartment - nothing to open. It is a nice bench otherwise, but if you are looking for a hinged seat with storage, this is not it. ... show more

  • Great bench for the price
Color: Black
I am very happy with this one-person seat. It looks good, and it was pretty simple to assemble (you do need a wrench to tighten the screws properly, when I first put it together with no tools the legs were still a tiny bit wobbly, but that was corrected when I used a wrench). The seat is very firm, so it's not an especially cushy seat to sit on, but I think this will be better in the long run, as it won't sag. My only disappointment is that I thought I bought the version with built-in storage in the seat, and I didn't -- it's just a seat. But it's a very good value for the price, in my opinion. ... show more

  • Very Comfortable, but no compartment
Color: Rosewood
Nice bench - very comfortable and at a good height. I had one of these in black (when I had a black piano), which had the compartment in the seat, which I prefer. Not sure why On-Stage does not make a compartment-enabled Rosewood bench. I bought this with the idea of modifying it to have a compartment, but then I found another manufacturer with a compartment Rosewood bench and bought that instead. I ended up giving this one away. However, if the compartment does not matter to you - this is a very comfortable and good-looking bench. Very close in color to Yamaha's rosewood (thought not exact, if that matters). It is much more comfortable than the Yamaha factory bench that comes with the Yamaha Clavinova CLP series, which is surprisingly uncomfortable, despite the cost of the piano itself. ... show more

  • Nice Simple Bench at Great Value
Color: Rosewood
Bench fit our needs perfectly. My daughter recently started taking lessons and is using a Casio keyboard a friend gave us. We didn't want to spend a lot of $ and this seemed like a great value. It looks great and puts her in a perfect sitting position to practice playing. If we upgrade pianos this may still even work. ... show more

  • Piano Bench
Color: Rosewood
What size or kind of wrench do I need or does it come with one? I hear the legs are wobbly and keep getting loose after you tighten them.

  • Good also for the decoration.
Color: Rosewood
It's been a month and I don't find any issue with it. I am about 190 lbs heavy. The only potential issue is some edge is sharp, not round so it might be an issue for a baby practicing stand ups, however i don't think this is a problem in normal situation. The bench would have been perfect if it had a room to store stuff underneath - I couldn't tell this when reading the product description. ... show more
