  • Perfect in all ways!
I have owned several keyboard stands over the years. This one from Liquid Stands is the best of them all! It is well designed, easy to set up and store, and light enough to transport for gigging but still sturdy enough to hold my heavy 88-key Yamaha keyboard. It arrives assembled and ready to go, and has plenty of height adjustment options for whatever you need. It also comes with a handy headphone hook that you can attach, so I no longer have to hang my headphones on my boom mic during recording sessions. Oh, and the price is phenomenally reasonable for the value provided.. If you need a keyboard stand that checks all the boxes, look no further! ... show more

  • Best X style stand I've owned in 30 years...and I've had several
I have owned many X-style keyboard stands over the last 30 years, including the early Quick-Lok type. This is a basic X stand, however it is one of the best I have owned for two reasons. The first is that it is very solid and seems like it can accommodate fairly heavy keyboards. The second reason is the locking system which I LOVE. All of my other stands required you to unlock some sort of mechanism at the midpoint of the "X" which was sort of clumsy to do and made it awkward to adjust the height as you crouched over. This stand however has a little trigger assembly near the top of one of the arms so you can easily adjust the spread and height from a standing position. It's a small thing, but makes the stand so much nicer to use, and the mechanism is really solid and inspires confidence. It also makes it faster to set up than other types of X-stands, and there is no danger of accidentally unlocking it. I really like this stand and would not hesitate to buy it again. ... show more

  • Great durable but lightweight keyboard stand
I've been using an Ultimate X stand for over 25 years. The missing key to that stand that I really love with this stand is the hook to hang your earphones and/or headset mic. I play in an ALT 80's band and do my backing vocals with an SM58 on a boom stand. But, in quite a few songs, I also wear a headset mic that I connect to my keyboard (Roland FANTOM 07) to use with the Vocoder on songs like Talking in Your Sleep and Always Something There to Remind Me. Without the hook there's no great place to keep the headset mic handy other than just sitting it on the floor of the stage. I nearly stepped on the headset mic trying to find it on a dark stage during our last show. That got me to thinking that I needed to find a better solution. I suppose I could have added some command hooks to the old Ultimate stand, but I came across this stand and noticed that it had a hook included that could be attached to either side of the stand. It might seem silly, but it's so nice to have a dedicated spot to hang my IEMs and my headset mic between sets. This stand is lightweight for a double braced X style stand but it is very sturdy and durable. It also is a nice touch to have the adjustable feet on it as I was used to that with my old X stand. We all know that we've never played a show where we didn't have to adjust the stand feet in order to keep our keyboard from bouncing around. I'm really digging this new stand and I may see if I can order another hook so that I have them on both sides of the stand. Definitely a great buy. ... show more

  • Sturdy synth or electric piano stand is quick and easy to set up and fold up
This synth keyboard stand by Liquid Stands strikes a perfect balance between weight and strength. It is light enough to carry easily with one hand yet plenty sturdy to solidly support my 40 pound keyboard (Yamaha Montage M7). Liquid Stands claims that it can hold up to 160 pounds, and that may certainly be true but I wasn't able to test that claim. The little spring-loaded lever at the top of the stand makes it very quick and easy to set the stand to your preferred height and equally easy to fold it back up. It's also nice that when collapsed to the fully folded state it automatically locks. You don't have to worry about it opening up accidentally when you are transporting it. The headphone holder, which can be easily screwed onto the stand or easily removed, is a nice touch too. If you stand at your keyboard when performing, this stand will probably not be high enough. You would probably need to go with a "Z" type stand. ... show more

  • Great quality , but ...
The MS1099 is a very sturdy, stable keyboard stand, It's well built and would serve well for most bands. However, it only lowers to 27 inches. Yes, I did read this in the description, but did not realize what it would mean. 27 inches is still too high to play comfortably sitting on a regular piano bench, or office chair. With my Yamaha P-255 keyboard it is just too high. I can't play standing up due to knee problems. A higher stool doesn't help as it still places pressure on my knees. I would like to suggest that you make it adjustable to a lower height. The bad thing is, I just got my P-255 out of storage, and set up the stand 2 days ago. But I am past the return date, by 3 days. So I guess I am just SOL. ... show more

  • Nice. Would highly recommend.
Nicely made. Clean seams. Sturdy. Easy to adjust height. Used for the 88 and 76 key sizes. Comes preassembled. Perfect size. Very stable on carpet and wood floors for 35# and 10# keyboards. The stand feet are 20"deep.

  • Easiest set up ever!
I bought this stand for my wife to practice her keyboard on. Took it out of the box to set it up and it was practically done for me. All I had to do was hand screw (no annoying allen wrenchs) in the headphone holder on the side of my choosing. So simple! I checked out the instruction manual to make sure, and it is. They also have a humor to their instruction manual I quite enjoyed. (Shout out to the designer of the manual) The stand also just looks great! It is lightweight, sturdy and the grips hold the keyboard in place as she practices. The locking mechanism allows for a wide range of width settings. They did a great job on this equipment and you will be satisfied if you get one! ... show more
