Been playing around with that laptop for a few days, Model: Omen 15-dh1019nr (2020) I've got to mention that I upgraded the RAM from 32GB to 64GB, and replaced the 512GB NVMe SSD with Samsung NVMe 970 EVO PLUS 1TB (you have to remove the whole bottom plate for that - 6pcs of M2x6 Philips screws. Tried to play a few games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Call of duty: WWII Shadow War, Gears Of War 5: Hivebusters. All works smooth (even Cyberpunk which is still very buggy at this time) at maximum settings. But - the laptop gets hard time in 2K gaming on my DELL U2520D screen, you need to downgrade the graphic settings to play smooth. Pros: - FAST gaming laptop, will perform very well in 1080p (which is the natural resolution of the screen) - High quality brushed aluminum finish all-around. - Great anti-ghosting keyboard with 4 areas of RGB colors (changeable in the OMEN software only) - Great 300hz G-SYNC ( !!! ) IPS display - Expandable RAM up to 64GB ( !!! ) - Available SATA 2.5" expansion slot for SSD/HDD inside (not mentioned anywhere, even on HP site) - WiFi 6 support Cons: - Very weak speakers (in terms of volume), I've got a Galaxy Note 10+ smartphone that has louder speakers (no kidding) but of-course the laptop's speakers are higher quality, just very weak in terms of volume. - Cooling. The CPU can reach almost 100C° in gaming... and that's also comes with a pretty loud fans noise, but that's expected from a 10th series Intel processors and the obvious limitations of gaming laptops in terms of cooling due to small size. - NO 2 accessible M.2 drives as mentioned in the description! I thought I can hook up 2 NVMe drives; there is only one M.2 slot for storage, the other M.2 slot is occupied with the WIFI/BLUETOOTH card - I already spoke with HP OMEN agent that confirmed that, believe me I even removed the battery to find the 2nd M.2 slot. - Mediocre battery life (around 1 hour of hardcore gaming) Overall I gave this laptop a 5 stars despite all of that cons, I Honestly believe it's one of the best gaming laptops for the price. ... show more

This machine just ROCKS! I bought it primarily for video editing and was a little skeptical due to some of the reviews about the display and speakers. But I took a chance...and now I'm really glad I DID! Great features for the price. I don't play online games so I'll never use some of the features like the assignable keyboard color schemes or overclocking, but this machine has all the graphics power I need and didn't cost me a fortune. Plenty of USB ports. Since most of my cameras use SD cards I truly appreciate the built-in SD card reader slot. Extremely easy to upgrade memory and add a 2nd drive - that was a big one for me. Fan noise was VERY minimal and not an issue at all for me (others said it was loud) even when overclocked. It DOES make a bit more noise when overclocked, but (duh!) that's the fans doing their jobs and keeping you from frying your processors. And as for my display and audio worries? Well...I don't know what kind of displays the folks who were critical of it were used to, but this thing is PLENTY sharp and bright enough for me to edit with. Good color representation with plenty of range and no banding or blocking. Deep blacks, great grays, and amazing color. The audio is also PLENTY loud for my purposes. Even with just the built-in speakers, this machine pumps out all the volume I need while keeping it nice and crisp. And if I want more, I'll just patch it in to my studio sound system and make the neighbors start complaining on me...LOL! All in all, this is a TERRIFIC laptop and I would highly recommend it to anyone! Don't worry too hard about it...just BUY it! ... show more

I love this laptop because it has good graphics, I have had mine for 2 years but I must say that the battery life is terrible.. if you game alot like I do, it usually needs to be plugged up within 45 minutes after you begin your game or it will die, which kinda sucks.. Also, it gets really hot after the 45 minutes.. Like 200° F. Other than those two problems, it's a good computer. Unless you travel or plan on moving the laptop frequently, I recommend getting a PC instead. ... show more

This computer delivers exactly what it promised. It is extremely fast and very well manufactured. The screen is bright and clear. Set up was a breeze with not tons of bloatware. I needed a laptop with Thunderbolt 3 for multiple instances on multiple monitors. While I do not have the right hub for 2 additional monitors yet, it works great with one. To start this pc was listed with false specifications. The battery lasts no longer than 1 hr. and 45 mins with absolutely nothing running. That's with power saver on and no background apps running, with a game running 30 mins tops before its dead. Yes i did a battery report which states the battery is fine and only has 3 cells not 6. There is only one M.2 slot and thats held be the stock 512gb SSD. Which isn't a lot for gaming that has me sorely mad cause it advertised two slots. Yes it is upgradable but seriously ya'll advertised two. The laptop is powerful with the i7 and 2070 super and 300hz screen makes games stitch together seamlessly. But unless you plan on having it plugged in all the time and carrying around external hard drives stay away. Also beware when its plugged in and you're taxing the GPU because the AC adapter will get SUPER HOT. One other thing, the screen is g-sync on the 300hz model. ... show more

Liked the resolution and frame rate. Disliked the paltry SSD; I replaced the 512 with a 2TB. Heat is an issue, so get a lap board with fan, or find a way to prop it up for dissipation. When gaming, be sure to leave plugged in to the wall; otherwise there will be serious degradation to conserve battery life. ... show more
