Reviewing the Ombre Complete Gut Health Test Kit: First off, I suspected this was going to be a big promotion to take their products for a lifetime. Before you take your sample, you have to create and account on their website. It was pretty easy to do except there is a huge survey to fill out where they want to know about your health. I am not sure how much of this I could have skipped. I thought this might taint their results....not sure why they needed to know this ahead of time....makes my suspicious. I could tell if my answers did not jive, they would make new questions to see what was up....that was interesting and I guess good. I think it would be more reputable to analysis the sample and tell us what they find without knowing out health. This is main reason I am taking a star off. I had to use some tape to secure the sample box before sending....seems a bit flimsy with poor sticking glue and easy to open ends. I taped it all up. Postage is paid so just stuck in mail box. Very easy and neat to get the sample....without going into much detail, you just use the toilet paper from wiping off. Then swipe that with swab....very little mater is needed. It took about 3 weeks before I got an email saying my results were ready. They show a lot of details about all the counts of different microbes and where you have too many or too few. A few days later they sent another email offering free upgrade to premium which is a $10 value....The upgrade did not seem to have any catches and did not require a credit card. It looked like it was going to and then didn't in the end. One thing that has not worked for me on the site is the food suggestions. Wonder if that will be fixed. Not sure yet if I will order the suggested probiotics as they are around $30/month. If I do, I will review those separate. ... show more

This test kit does seem to be a win-win for the 'Ombre store' but it does provide some info to help you pick their most appropriate supplement using your sample. But you can cross reference their advice with other company's products so it is not a bad deal for the test price.

This is a SCAM! I’m waiting for 2 month for a lab results and NOTHING! Phone number doesn’t work, they hang up on your face BEFORE ringing! E-mail NOBODY again answers…. I’m feeling stupid to believe in it! Want my money back!

I know some of you may think the idea of sending off a small stool sample mixed in liquid sounds gross, but it is not. This is a very straight-forward test, you follow the directions and send the prepaid container through the mail, which you can simply toss into a post box. Make sure you make an account through the website and activate your test before you send it in, it's important. It takes a few weeks after you send it in to get the results, but the information is intriguing once you get your results. I do wish there was a bit more info on the linked illnesses and/or body issues associated with each of the results, but nonetheless there is A LOT of info to read through. I did this test because I have a stubborn gut that likes to act up when eating certain foods and my results did show the foods I know I have an intolerance for to be a problem in my gut. You get many recommendations for foods to consume and for foods to not consume, I enjoyed reading through the information. While you can download a text format off your results, I do wish there was a PDF including pictures available to download and possibly print out (like other send-in tests I've done in the past), but using the site is easy enough. If you are like me and don't care to go to hospitals or doctors to do such tests, mostly because of cost, then this whole process costs less than the typical cost for simply walking into a doctor's office and sitting in a chair. Seeing as this is a relatively new test/site, it will likely improve in time as the company gets more tests to alter percentages and give even more accurate estimations, but it's pretty darn good as it is currently. I am glad I did this and will try to incorporate a diet plan utilizing some of the foods recommended to help my results and stay away from the foods contributing to problematic bacteria. I will update this review if my thoughts change, but it's a bargain for the roughly $100 USD price. ... show more

Scam? Waste of $99? Frustration? NO service/response whatsoever from the company? A "slap in the face" when you start receiving marketing emails for their products and still no test results? All of the above, in my case. In 2 days it will be 4 weeks since I mailed the sample, as per instructions, and no trace of results, a phone number to contact, or a response to the "support" email that I sent OMBRE. If there was a way to get reimbursed, I'd take it in a moment - is there? And I would suggest to Amazon to remove this product from the market. ... show more

They do not send all your reports premium reports cost more. You wait 2 weeks so they can ask you for more money to get all your info AND they just want to sell you a subscription to their probiotics. The dashboard app cuts off the name of bad bacteria if you have some so you can’t even see what you paid for. Skip this get a highly recommended probiotic or check in with your doctor. customer service response buy a computer to best view results. ... show more
