Couldn’t readily find a replacement LED module for my 52” Light Wave F844-DK, so I rigged this module into the existing bad module. It was a “hold my beer” project that I don’t necessarily recommend, but it worked. I pulled the wiring out of the center hole of the old module, as I needed the size and bracket to fit back on my fan. I also had to remove the magnets & screws plus the plastic cover of the new module to fit into the old casing. I also snapped off a little metal tab on the new module that pushed the wires up more towards the top, as I needed them closer to center. I spliced the wires with electrical tape & it appears to work well. A bit brighter than the OEM. You’ll see I couldn’t center the LED, but it looks fine & wife approves. More cost effective than the $100 special order OEM replacement that I couldn’t even locate. Model number on my old light module said LKL1102-17. Minka-Aire labeled my replacement as Part# 6F844LK01 through Home Depot special orders dept. ... show more

I got this light to replace a 2100 Lumen light that was not bright enough for a home office fan/light combo. This light says it produces ‎4200 Lumens, however it was not as bright as the light I was replacing. I might have keep it as a future replacement, but it is weird that every time you turn the light off and on again it changes between the 3 color temperatures. I could see this as a feature if it was only when turning off and on quickly. But turn the light off when you leave the room and next time it turns on you get a different temp. Then you have to cycle the light multiple times to get it back to the temp you wanted, the last time you used it. At least remember the last temp used, this is not usable for real world applications where you might turn the light off. It would be fine for constant on use cases, assuming power stays on. ... show more

The photo on the left is this 24 watt plate. Its COLOR is really 6000K, not 4500K. The brightness is OK but not enough to light a whole room. The plate mounts pretty easily with its built-in magnets. Heat buildup is not an issue. There is no remote control; it's just on and off by controlling the 120V AC input. Bought ceiling fan at Lowes, but it's 5 watt LED bulb was not very bright, and small light kit would not allow a larger bulb. Found this round led on Amazon and it fit perfect. Magnetic base made for quick, easy retrofit. Took about 7 minutes.

It was an easy installation. Just connect the colored wires together with the included connector. Not as bright as I want to but much better than the previous yellowish light. I should have look for more wattage to make it bright.
