The media could not be loaded. Solid Olympic bar. I use this for all my compound lifts with no problem. The grip marks have stayed in shape with heavy use. It comes with the standard marks. I've wanted one of these since high school weight training class thirty something years ago. Life and more important things always came first. This is my first Olympic bar and not going to be my last. I read at least twenty to thirty reviews, good and bad. I took a chance on this one and am not disappointed in any kind of way. There are no cons for this curl bar, only pros. It's got that heavy duty commercial gym feel to it. It's fifteen pounds alone, and I honestly don't remember that fifteen pounds use to be that heavy but maybe the laws of gravity have changed since high school. I had been using those plastic Olympic sleeve adapters on my old barbells, which will do if that's all you can do for now but there's no substitute for the real thing. I also like that the metal sleeves have ridges instead of being smooth like the kind I've used in gyms my whole life. The ridges seem to give better traction to collar clamps. Unless you have the old fashioned collar clamps with a threaded bolt to lock it down then use a pipe or pliers and twist it on with the intent to break through to the other side, the plates will move some but only the slightest. My next purchase will be a full sized Olympic bar and definitely the same brand Holleyweb because I'm so very impressed with their EZ curl bar. ... show more

We started building a garage gym and didn’t like the hassle of using the barbell for curls. This curl bar was inexpensive and works well. The clips it comes with are awful. Do Not Use Them The curl bar itself is solid. Knurling isn’t aggressive nor non exsistent. The bar does NOT have end caps so maintenance will be needed every 3-6 months If you’re looking to throw in some curls (who isnt?) then this is a good budget option for those curling lighter to mid range options. ... show more

For the price you his is a very nice bar. I have had 10 months now. I have my heavy weight in the garage. I have had no issue with rust. It’s not the best curl bar but for the money it works awesome.
