We have 4 German shepherds. Bought one and put it together realized it was way too small, so we bought another and made one big kennel. So the picture you’re seeing is 2 kennels made into one large kennel. Still putting it together so it’s not completely done yet. But I do Like how big it is now.

    • Parts don’t fit on canopy
We own a dog boarding facility and I bought these for small dogs. They will do fine for that but I would never trust these to hold a dog over 25 pounds. Also the rod that holds the canopy up was too long so my husband had to cut it to fit. The brackets that hold it on are flat not curved, so it slips off center of the end pieces it attaches to. My husband will have to drill holes in the end pieces and buy new bolts to make it stay in position. Just keep in mind that you may have to work on these, thus the 3 star review. The rod over the gate is annoying, so we plan to cut it off and use some of the plugs to prevent cuts from the raw edge. If the seller would include enough rubber grommets for the top and bottom of the unit it would be much better. I use these inside and they scratch my floor. Will have to locate extras. All in all, these are still much cheaper than the ones we have gotten from K-9 Kennel Store so will probably buy again. ... show more

Ordered two of the same. One came with nuts and bolts. The other didn’t…. Now I have to go buy the bolts and wing nuts!!!!!

Some issues but, made it work overall. Canopy is too small to fit on this kennel built as instructed and still too small/tight built the way we had to re-build sides to make canopy fit.. all four sides are suppose to go a certain way but, latching sides together with gaps on sides, made canopy too short length wise, latching sides together with gap being on front and back, made canopy to short width wise.. we had to make one side of the kennel latch the opposite of the other side (one side has gap on front and one side has gap on side where sections connect)..Even still we had a hard time getting canopy unto corners without almost ripping it.. with that said, we didn’t have any issues with putting main part together. everything was included and it was super easy to do and took little time to do so. canopy part took us the longest!. parts look fine, no rough edges/etc on ours, paint coating was throughout and no main issues with metal to be seen. I do question why the top brackets to latch to base walls though, they just slide into the square opening on top of base walls and kind of on the loosely side. I personally don’t trust this set up and hub is going to make holes and screw top brackets to base wall corners for me so it doesn’t maybe fly off during a really bad storm.. overall i like this kennel, it actually looks nicer than most and my adopted late last year 3ish yr old cat who seems to have been a feral community cat at one time (clipped ear) meows and yearns to be outside when i let the dogs out and we can’t have that be so for i’m not into worrying where my babies are. he doesn’t like being on a leash with a harness on so this kennel is perfect for him (as long as he doesn’t decide to start climbing it given he could probably break out at the canopy front of back). he really seems to be happy in it staring at the dogs and nature and i’m happy not having to worry about him getting away or trapped again like he did with his mesh outdoor tent which is why i chose to get this kennel, it is more secure and safe.. I did wonder about the name claim in listing, Olympia Tools.. they are an old company and do not make kennels!! name on kennel itself is homestead. ... show more

    • Works well for what I need!
So I actually got this as a “chicken tractor” to keep my chickens in when they’re out in the yard, instead of for my dog. While it’s a little heavy, it’s relatively easy to move around once it’s put together. It was relatively easy to assemble my myself. The canopy part was a little rough to work with but eventually it mostly fit. I’m not sure how it’ll hold up but it seems pretty sturdy and for now it’s working really well! ... show more

    • Sturdy and safe
I live in an absolutely beautiful area that has a plethora of wild life. While I enjoy the different creatures that run around the yard it was important to me to keep my dogs safe when they go out. This was easy to assemble following the instructions and nice and sturdy once set up. It gives my two pugs a nice little area to enjoy while I have the peace of mind that they are safe.     • Not sturdy enough for my use!
This may be ideal for small dogs but definitely not larger dogs. I was going to use this to expand my current kennel but the wire is a small gauge and will not work. I was thinking, since it was 6 feet tall and $270, it would work for a larger dog, but it definitely will not.
