    • Surprisingly solid
Wasn't quite sure how I was going to feel about this one after ordering but after putting it together and using it I'm pleasantly surprised. Assembly was pretty easy overall, standard flat pack furniture stuff, but still took a while doing it by myself just because there's a fair number of screws. Everything was packed well and labeled. It's mostly an OSB like material instead of an MDF or particle board, and the rear panel in a nice touch is a hardboard/HDF instead of the typical almost cardboard like backing. The style of the wrapped finish isn't my absolute favorite but it's well done and I like it better in person than I expected. The door hinges are also soft close which is great. A few nitpicks and things to be aware of. The top uses cam locks to connect to the vertical pieces, but instead of screwing directly into the wood the pins screw into soft plastic pieces inset into the top. I hadn't seen this before and it seems to have worked largely OK, but there was definitely a fair amount of variance how well they seemed to have gone in across the 8 pins. Ultimately how well this holds up then comes down to how well those inserts old up and stay in the top and they don't seem quite as strong as screwing into the wood directly. Since it is only on the top and everything else screws together I don't think it's likely to be a big issue, but I would make sure not to move it by the top and only lift it from the bottom. The doors are a little tricky to install solo since the hinges come fully assembled and you have to install them on the unit and then install the doors to the hinges. It's not that bad but look at the instructions and loosen the hinge adjustments first to make it easier to get the doors onto the hinges. There's also a fair amount of trial and error to then getting the doors in the right spot and aligned, but it's just slowly turning a couple screws and seeing how it looks. If I had thought about it I might have even left the doors off. There's wiring holes in each compartment but you can't really run a video game console or something in there with the door closed. Overall I'm happy though and would recommend. It's pretty standard flat pack furniture but it's well done and I don't think the things I would do differently with it are deal breakers. ... show more

This 5-drawer dresser, TV, and media console table is a quality piece of furniture and a great addition to my bedroom. It has two large and three small drawers, Each large drawer can store at least 12 ordinary adult T-shirts or seven pairs of jeans, and the small drawers are perfect for socks and undergarments. The cloth bins of the drawers are nice because they are easy to clean and allow the stand to be lighter and easier to move if needed with the fronts being a nice wood touch. The wood shelves are perfect for a TV and all the media storage you need with the top shelf being load-bearing with a capacity of up to 66 pounds. The instructions are easy to read, although it took about 90 minutes to set up, not the 30 the instructions say. I recommend making sure you read the directions thoroughly before assembly as there are different-sized screws for the wood shelves and if not used properly will come through the wood. It comes with all the tools and hardware needed to put this together. Also, a huge plus is its stability and sturdiness. The console uses a thickened metal frame to keep the fabric dresser stable, with 4 adjustable feet to protect your floor from scratches, and you can adjust the balance of the dresser in small areas. Using the anti-tilt device, an auxiliary feature can be added if the dresser is attached to the wall, as it prevents falling caused by uneven floors or children climbing. At 19" in height, this stand is shorter than the one it has replaced, but is considerably more stylish than its predecessor! It's the perfect size for our 47" television, with room to spare for the XBox and a few decorative items. It sets the television at eye level whilst we are seated, which is ideal, and we love the mid-century modern aesthetic. From a distance it looks like actual distressed wood, but that illusion is shattered once you look closely. Still, it is impressively sturdy and appears to be quite well-constructed. The cabinets are roomy and their doors have a soft-shut feature; the entire piece has been constructed with openings for cords and wires. The enclosed instruction booklet was surprisingly thorough and helpful, and all the pieces arrived well-ordered and clearly labelled, which was both surprising and hugely welcome! My husband was able to get it put together in about an hour. This is the ideal size for our smaller-sized living room, but it could potentially look dwarfed if placed in a larger space. We are incredibly happy with ours and do not hesitate to recommend it! ... show more
