Color: Forged Steel

Features

  • PREMIUM FORGED STEEL - The S45C steel is forged to the extremely high pressure of 90,000 PSI, resulting in a vise that is significantly stronger than cast iron and ductile iron alternatives. This industrial-grade vise can handle a clamping force of up to 9,900 pounds! If youre looking for a lifetime companion through your toughest jobs, then be confident that our heavy duty bench vise will exceed your expectations.
  • SUPERIOR DESIGN - Cheaper vises have handles with rubber ends that are prone to cracking and falling off over time, rendering the handle essentially unusable without a repair. Olsa Tools uses upgraded, all-metal handle stops to ensure your bench vise will be a reliable tool for years to come. When mounted on a workbench, the fixed jaw has been designed to extend over the edge of the table to allow you to clamp long items. The vise has 7 inch wide jaws with a generous 9 inch jaw opening.
  • MOUNTING HARDWARE INCLUDED - Unlike other bench vises, our vise comes with bolts (3/8"x3"), nuts, and washers for installation. This allows you to mount the vise to your workbench as soon as you receive it, without needing to take another trip to the hardware store. As a bonus, we have also included a set of protective rubber jaw covers that attach and detach easily with the included magnets. Perfect for getting a firm grip on any delicate materials without scratching or marking them.
  • PROFESSIONAL BENCH VISE - This is not your average bench vise, use this bench vise for all kinds of woodwork, metalwork, sawing, drilling, and gluing things together. You can't go wrong with this beast! The 360 degree swivel base rotates easily and can be secured in any orientation you need for the job at hand. The striking red colour of the durable hammer paint will make this vise a sleek addition to your workstation.
  • OLSA TOOLS TRUST - Our deep commitment to quality is the reason why tool fanatics like yourself keep coming back to us for more. All Olsa Tools products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty that protects your investment against any manufacturers defects. All you need to do is get in touch with us and well make it right by you. Guaranteed.

  • High Quality Forged Vise
Love this forged vise. Plus the ability to tighten up the play is a nice touch. Comes with a set of soft jaws that are magnetic. I like that the base hast two t-handles to tighten.

  • Click the "Buy Now" button!
I bought the 5 inch version and it is perfect for my needs and workspace. It operates smoothly, the jaws come together perfectly, and it is forged steel. The vise comes with mounting bolts and magnetic soft jaw covers as a bonus. I have owned a number of vises in my life and this one is as good or better than the best of them. At this price point, this vise is a great deal. Don't pass this one up, buy it. ... show more

  • Takes some work, but great after that
Cleaning up and lubricating the screw and gibs with a good moly grease definitely helps this vise move smoother, but the machined ways on the moveable jaw aren't quite straight. All that out of the way, the vise is solid, the jaws are sharp and reasonably hard, the soft jaws are a very nice add-on, and the installation hardware is more than good enough to mount on a wooden bench. The welds are all acceptable and the paint is good enough for a vise. Definitely a step up from the cheap cast vises. ... show more

  • Everything needed is in the box
Just unpacked my new vise and no trips to the hardware store are required. Very nice product that should meet all of my automotive needs, and then some. Plenty of clamping force. Rubber jaw covers. I can't image ever needing something more. I have purchased a lot of tools from Olsa and will state that ALL of their products have exceeded expectations. As other brands of tools have faltered in the last few years, it is great to see a company like Olsa provide quality tools at a great price. They don't have everything, but what they have is fantastic and the catalog is expanding every day. Even if you don't need a vise, look at Olsa tools for quality products. ... show more

  • Better than a massive cast iron vice
Love it....You don't need a massive cast iron vice...this thing is just strong because it's forged steel...

  • 6 inch forged steel bench vise for $200 ???...no brainer folks
I've waited a long time for these olsa forged steel vises to be back in stock...I just ordered the 6 inch today...but I still felt compelled to begin the review process immediately...I'm already a fan of olsa tools...the quality of their products is top shelf every time...and the price is always a fair deal for high quality tools...$200 for a forged steel pile of turds is a sweet deal, let alone a 6 inch bench vise...check the pricing for any other forged steel vise on amazon right now the same size as the 6 inch...you're looking at $400 to $800 easily for this kind of quality in a forged steel vise...I don't even need a vise but I cannot pass this up for $200...it's worth at least $450 plus...I'll certainly add more to this review once I've gotten it and used it a bit...but I have zero doubts about how great this vise is going to perform...it'll look killer sitting next to my yost 5 inch austempered ductile iron vise...no man should possess 2 such awesome clamping devices at the same time...but I am glad to have such a burden.... .UPDATE>>>>just got my 6 inch olsa forged steel vise and unboxed it...I swear I heard trumpets sound off as I removed it from the 3rd box protecting it during shipment...there is no question that this vise is easily a $600 vise...it makes my 5 inch yost ADI look tiny...the anvil is shockingly large for a bench vise.. jaws line up absolutely perfect...flawless paint job...I've never seen soft jaw add one like these they appear to be aluminum with actual hard like rubber over them with a magnet on the back running the full length of the piece...not just 2 tiny magnets but a full length bar magnet...the best soft jaw set I've ever seen by a long shot and it was included with the vise...I'm telling you this was an absolute steal of a deal...I cannot believe they are letting these go for $200...this has got to be a mistake on their part...wow...get one is all I can advise you to do...even if you don't need one cuz you'll never get a vise like this again for such a ridiculously low price...forged steel vise...6 inches...for $200...lololololol....unbelievable ... show more

  • Okay, but expected better
The media could not be loaded. I have a LOT of thoughts about this vise. TL:DR - It's okay and beefy, but the tolerances and finish are atrocious. If you're looking at this, you'll probably want a better one unless you want to spend a day modifying it. Pros: Construction seems heavy duty enough for this vise. It is steel, not cast iron. The gib is a nice feature. Mounting hardware is grade 12.9. It would work as is for a long time. Cons: EVERY tolerance is wrong. The only thing that worked out of the box was the gib. Hole for the dynamic jaw was 2.5mm bigger than the screw. Registration boss on the swivel base was almost 1/4" too small. The the nut is real bad, both in fitment in the base and on the lead screw. Eventually I'll make one that fits correctly, however the pitch is 4TPI and is non-standard. Either the handle hole or diameter could definitely be closer. Modifications: Bronze bushing for the lead screw on the dynamic jaw. Shim for the nut. New pin with a bigger diameter to secure the nut. Machine bottom of base flat and top of base registration for the swivel to the right diameter. Future plans: Machine new nut Machine anvil surface flat Bearings in the dynamic jaw Edit: Vendor contacted me and I provided feedback which was forwarded on to the product manager. Hopefully we'll see better finishing in the future! ... show more
