My computer now flying with 32 gig

  • A great gift for gamers and grandmas. Read on.
Size: 8GBx2 Color: Black x2
Ok. This FOR GAMING thing. It’s computer ram, it goes in my laptop. It’s literally almost identical to ever other Ram that is rated at this speed, voltage and latency. It was considerably cheaper that most other brands and was backed by what seems to be a better than standard warranty. If you have a system that is running slowly, give it a shot. If you have a newer system with one stick of ram, it’s worth the upgrade. If grandma doesn’t know how to close down chrome tabs and her computer is chugging like a steam locomotive, Do her a favor. Just remember it’s all about the same, just make sure your computer can handle it. ... show more

  • Works great in an HP 22-c0000 All-in-One
Size: 8GBx2 Color: Black x2
Performance is great and it's a massive upgrade over the factory 4GB. It did take a few tries to get the system to recognize both chips. Installing one 8 (top slot), then 8+4, then 8+8 seemed to work, which is strange but happened in three systems.

  • Not meant to be
Size: 32GB(2x16GB) Color: Dual
I bought these to beef up my laptops memory from its paltry 8gb to something that can handle my multitasking habits. Being a poor middle class worker and RAM being crazy expensive, I of course sought a bargain. I scoured high and low until my search brought me to the OLOy brand of computer accessories. It was about 70 doll hairs cheaper than the next least expensive brand, so I decided to pull the trigger and give this unknown brand a try. Little did I know that my search for bargain deal would become more than I bargained for. First, the good. The item arrived swiftly and in excellent condition. Installing laptop RAM isn't rocket science (anymore), so putting both the sticks into the slots was an effortless endevour. My laptop booted up right away with no more fuss than I have come to expect from a temperamental windows 10 machine. Everything was looking pretty good, and I thought that I would be well on my way until... ... The bad: I kept getting blue screened at random and for different reasons each time. Now my laptop had BSD issues before in the past. However, what stood out about my new plight was the frequency at which my laptop would throw up that dreaded blue color and error code cube and how it was becoming more commonplace in my everyday life. I almost genuinely missed it on days where my laptop wouldn't have a meltdown. It was almost as if it were saying that I was no longer good enough to have its malicious attentions cast my way. I researched each error code that would pop up, and was amazed at the scope, breadth, and sheer amount of different codes that Microsoft had to explain the same problem. It was almost as if error code smd01015 for memory leaks couldn't be the same as error code SMD51010 which is also for memory leakage. Only error code SMD51010 took place on a Monday, and the prior error code smd01015 had happened on a weekend with no holiday. Anyways, the common underlying theme I noticed to all them, was that while not directly implicated, bad RAM processes where somehow almost always involved. So I decided to test my RAM using the windows memory diagnostic tool. The results came back negative for errors, but I had become skeptical of the reliance of information from microsoft associated programs, so I used a third party method as well. My story is already pretty long as it is, so I will spare you the horrifying details of everything that I endured just to find out if my laptops memory was good or not. Suffice to say, after my laptop had a meltdown halfway through what was already a longer than the longest time I could possibly imagine test, I decided to take advantage of my return window with amazon, and send the memory back. Once I was refunded the credit, I abandoned every belief that I ever held dear as a penny pinching capitalist American and decided to spend the extra 70 bucks and get the next cheapest option that I found, which turned out to be Corsair Vengeance branded RAM-sticky-things. After I installed the new memory, I have not had any repeat visits from my blue buddy, the BSD. I don't have enough brand experience with OLOy to shit talk their products, cause I understand that there are always gonna be defects. So I am just gonna chalk this up to I got some bum sticks thanks to my crap luck. So give these a shot if you are looking for a deal, and hopefully your experience will be less of a pain in the ass than mine was. ... show more
