The zippers do bunch a bit when i sit down but i guess thats expected. The material is a light weight to medium weight thickness. They fit easily over my ankle cast and walking boot. I bought these pants for my husband after his leg surgery - one pair initially, and then two more after he tried the first pair. The pants are lightweight but well-made, and he says they are comfortable. The two front zippers, which run all the way from the bottom of each leg to the top of the waistband on each side, open completely. Only one of the very long zippers (out of 6 total in the 3 pairs) is a little bit difficult to get started. We have found it easy to put the pants on and take them off when he is lying down, and he finds them comfortable to wear. The material is stretchy, and still looks good so far, after machine-washing on gentle cycle several times. I would not recommend using an electric or gas dryer, but the pants air-dry fine on a rack overnight. ... show more

These pants are a life saver for people with huge cast/boot, like after ankle surgery. I took one star off due to sizing problem. to alarm potential customers about poterntial problem with sizing.It looks like sizing depends on color ( don't laugh, my husband, when he saw grey pants told me that it looks like half of it was made by one person and another half by another. I measured it and it is not true, but it looks like size depends on color) . Khaki look true the their size. Grey in the same size are 2" wider and 2" longer. Blue might be also ok. At least my husband was able to wear xl and he is xl. So keep this in mind when ordering and don't give up on the first try if you really need them ... show more

These tear away pants are such a gift. Bought them for my Husband to recover from surgery. So glad I did it made life so much more manageable. The sizes are accurate if you measure properly. He loves them there’s two zippers on each side one comes down from the top and one comes up from the bottom. At the waist there is Velcro fasteners instead of buttons and it really helps to hold the pants while zipping them back up. They made recovery so effortless. ... show more

    • “The Best Pants I Didn’t Know I Needed!”

After having foot surgery, these Deyeek tear-away pants were an absolute lifesaver. I had to wear a wound vac for months and make frequent hospital trips for dressing changes — these pants made that whole process so much easier. The full-length zippers on both legs meant I didn’t have to struggle pulling fabric over bulky dressings or medical devices. I could easily unzip one side to give my nurse access and zip them right back up when done. Total game changer! They’re surprisingly comfortable too — soft, medium-weight fabric that feels cozy without being hot. The material washes well and hasn’t lost shape after multiple laundry cycles (and trust me, I’ve put them through plenty). I also appreciate that they look more like athletic or lounge pants than “medical wear,” so I could step out for appointments without feeling underdressed. If I had to nitpick, I’d say the zippers can be a little noisy and occasionally snag if you zip too fast, but that’s minor compared to how convenient they are. The sizing runs just a tad loose, so if you’re between sizes, you might want to size down. Overall, these pants were worth every penny for comfort and practicality.
