How long is the drain hose, and how does the draining system work? The included drain hose is 20.9 inches long. For gravity drainage (no pump), the open end of the hose should be placed no higher than 3.94 inches from the floor (or the surface the washer sits on). Is the delay start easy to set up? Super easy. I love this machine I used to have one of those that you wash in one tub and spin out the water in another there was nothing automatic about it and now I have this, I'm in heaven, the only thing about it that I would change of I could is what ever cycle you choose just remember that at the end you will have to select the spin cycle because your clothes will be sitting in water at the end of the first cycle it doesn't spin the water out,at first I thought something was wrong but my neighbor has one and he told nothing was wrong that's just the way they are made.     • Water always seeks its level
This has to be the single dumbest design on a portable washer of this size I have ever seen. Unless you have a drain hole in your in your apartment floor, it is totally useless. Why would you put a drain hose at the very bottom of the machine? Then to make matters worse, the hose is about 16 in. long and even attaching an extension hose to it, you still cannot lift the hose any higher than a 1/2 foot because it won't drain and gives an error code indicating that it cannot drain the water. So dear consumers, unless you live in an outdoor shack with a hole in the ground for drainage, I suggest you look for a compact washer made by someone that put some intelligent thought into its design. Unfortunately, I had to donate my purchase to a charity, with a warning of what not to expect. Fool me once, shame on OLIXIS. This is what I needed for my small laundry room, but also a cheaper alternative. Noise is noticeable but not crazy. Easy to use, just a note, the drain hose is short and it needs to be decently flat or in short range so if you have a tall drain pipe like I did, you may need to find another alternative. I am using the floor drain for now. I also was able to connect it to my laundry hook ups instead of the bathroom sink. It took a lot of hard work, pliers and determination. Drain pump doesn't work if there's any sort of incline in the hose. You'll have to use a floor drain, or put the machine on a box. Back pressure from needing to keep faucet handles on caused faucet plumbing to spray water everywhere. Machine will not work unless it detects an open water flow, so I had to manually turn the water on and off via the handles throughout the washing cycles.Machine is quiet, but doesn't seem like it washes very well as the agitation is extremely gentle.
