We followed instructions and let it run 4 cycles of ice before tasting the ice and it tasted like metal. We filled it with half vinegar and half water and hit the clean button and now it works perfect.

Though this machine makes ice quickly, it is not staying cold enough to keep the ice from melting…once the ice basket is full it starts to melt. Defeats its purpose

This ice maker is great. It makes ice in minutes. I ordered this one due to the smaller more portable size. We are going to use this in our RV to give us more freezer space. One feature I absolutely love is if it "runs out of water" and the ice melts refilling the reservoir. After enough water refills, it will turn itself on again. I have had two different ice maker brands outside of this one and they don't do this. They would need you to power it off and power it back on again to start making ice. I only gave it four stars because it is louder than the one I have in my home. When I say loud, I'm talking about the air from the fan. It's not terrible, it's like white noise they would play over speakers in a quiet office so it's not dead silent. One other thing that I would like to see is some kind of alert when the ice is full or it needs water. There were times when the basket was nearly empty due to all the ice piled up towards the sensors and no ice was being made. Again, this is not a show stopper due to how fast this machine makes ice. I, personally would like an alert to continue to refill if need be.
