I had my doubts about this pillow. However, I know several people who insist on bringing it when they travel. Now I get it. This pillow is excellent for side sleeping. I don't even need to put it between my arm and ear. It is perfectly positioned to keep my neck straight and relaxed while supporting my head. The foam is firm enough not to collapse like a 70's beanbag chair, yet soft enough not to bother my ear. I'm so impressed! I'm a flip-flop-sleeper with equal time on both sides, back, and tummy. This pillow is even comfortable when sleeping on my back. I line up the bottom edge of the pillow with my shoulder blades so my neck stays straight and supported. This works great. The removable cover is soft and very breathable. I'm disqualified for weighing in on whether it's a cooling pillow as I don't give it a chance. Put the thermostat no higher than 67 and turn the ceiling fan to "Icelandic Wind" setting. It's just what I do. I can say that using this pillow (or any other linen) doesn't cause me to feel too warm. Looks like I'll have to get a second one if my husband starts eyeing it. I highly recommend this pillow.

This pillow arrived rolled up very compactly. It looked like it fluffed up to size immediately after being taken out, but I did wait a full 24 hours prior to using it. I am not getting any smells from it like other reviews have mentioned and I'm very smell sensitive. The outer cover is very soft and comfortable. I appreciate that it's removable and washable. I will be honest that I'm not getting a cooling vibe off it. I do sleep with a small fan pointing at me so that may be the reason why, but not positive. Either way, the cooling effect wasn't what interested me anyway. As for the functionality of the pillow, it's a bit more solid with less give then I'd like from a pillow. It wasn't as comfortable for me a side sleeper who tosses and turns all night long. I have a sore shoulder from the poor ergonomics at work so I'm always looking for a pillow that lessons the soreness. This didn't help in that regard. I have started using it between my knees to align my spine better. For this, it works well. It's also smaller than a "normal" pillow so for using it between my knees that's a benefit. I have other pillows that are squishier that I've used between my knees and they fall out at night, but this one doesn't. It's a solid shape and firm pillow which helps it stay in place much better than others. I do recommend this pillow overall.

I like to sleep in many different positions throughout the night and I find this pillow to be comfy for all of them. It is firm but has enough give to still be comfortable without bottoming out. The holes provide ventilation and consistent give. The cover is nice quality. Overall I have been sleeping really well and that is all that I can ask for in a pillow. It provides a really nice value.

The thing I like the most about this pillow was that it was on the soft side for memory foam. I recently ordered two pillows and they were on the harder side. The downfall for me was, I don’t feel like this pillow is long enough I know it’s a standard size pillow but I feel like it’s on the small side. Other than that it was a great price.

I could feel how cool the pillow was over a traditional one. My son also like how the pillow always returns to the original shape as he moves around the bed quite a bit and sometimes gives it the death grip or wrestling move in his sleep.

I really wanted to fall in love with this Memory Foam Pillow, Standard Size Pillows for Sleeping, Bed Pillow Soft and Comfortable, Cooling Hotel Pillow for Side Sleeper, Removable, Machine Washable Cover, 1 Pack, 24" x 16" by OLIXIS, as I’ve been needing a new foam pillow for quite sometime now. But it’s just that this foam pillow is too soft to provide a good neck support, as the back of my head would just literally sunk down into the pillow. Additionally, after airing it out for 5 days and after washing the pillow case that it came with, it retained its factory smell, which I’m allergic to as I have a super sensitive nose. While this may have worked well for others, but not for me.

This is a nice pillow but it's a little soft for my sleeping style. I feel like I sink into it a lot. Some may like that, some may not. Personally it doesn't bother me and I am still using this pillow, but I would have preferred it to have a little more support.
