This thing cranks! My husband closed in our cabana for an office for me and even though he put a mini split in, turning the humidifier option it was so thick I was getting a headache. He bought this and wow! We turned it on and the humidity was at 94% which was insane. We thought we wouldn’t need the tube thing but we were wrong it filled up quickly and so he drilled a hole out the back to drain. I live in Florida so iykyk. Humidity is like 900 at all times. It I haven’t had to put on my mini split all week and it will quietly turn on when it gets past 52% but it has been a God send!

OLIXIS Brand This is a dehumidifier that is supposed cover 2,000 Sq. Ft . I order the one that has 1/2 gallon capacity tank. It will take out about 5 gallons of water daily. Comes with Drain Hose, 2L/0.53 Gallon Water Tank and is on wheels for easy moving.. I put this in my 92 year old mother's basement. She lives in northern Illinois where we get a lot of moisture, both from rain and snow. This unit replaced her old ancient dehumidifier that pulled a lot of electricity and sounded like a Mack Truck when it was running. And it seemed to run ALL the time, summer, winter, fall and spring! This one is much lighter, makes hardly any nose and has so many extra features her old one did not have like: Adjustable Humidity Control, Automatic Defrost, Automatic Restart and digital read outs. This dehumidifier is a quality solution for medium size areas that have moisture problems. I set his up in the basement of the hunting lodge, which is over 600 square feet, then set the humidity level at 50%, and left it for 6-7 hours. When I returned, it had about 8-10 oz. of moisture in the reservoir that it had removed from the air. The reservoir holds about a half gallon, so it should last a full 24 hours before it needs emptying, YMMV. When the humidity level gets to the desired setting, it shuts off until the humidity rises again, then it turns back on to bring the humidity back down. It can also be set for a timed, automatic shutoff. There is also an option to connect a hose to drain the moisture directly into a drain pipe or sink if emptying the reservoir regularly is an inconvenience or isn't practical. The controls are easy to use and fairly intuitive and there are optional functions like air decontamination. It's not overly heavy and it comes on casters so it's very easy to move around a room.

I assumed based on the size that it wouldn't work as expected despite the fact that the unit says it can handle up to 2,000 square feet. Hooking it up eas quick and easy. No issues there, Make sure you do the warranty registration. The device has a few options you can set for the unit. I took the drain hose and put the hose straight into the sump system to allow it to come on as often as needed to keep our basement very dry, I tested how quick this worked by leaving bucket of water around the basement in as far away from the unit as I can to test it out. It works perfectly fine, and reached the exact square footage.
