It’s a quality mattress. Came rolled and wrapped up and began to inflate as soon as I took off the first layer of plastic (which I don’t think was supposed to happen as there was a hole in the second plastic layer). The instructions say allow 48-72 hours to fully inflate, but I slept on mine the same night. Initially firm, but definitely not uncomfortable. Now that it’s puffed up a little bit more, I can say I’m overall happy with it! The springs are pretty rigid, so not a great bed for jumping on. But it’s comfortable as a side sleeper and a good size for one person (5’8”, ~150 lbs) ... show more

OK, so first of all, it says it is a firm mattress, it isn’t; it sinks, especially if there are two people sleeping on it. The heavier person would drag the other towards them. I’m not lightweight, I’m 180 lbs, but I still think the mattress should support me if it was really firm. Second, the mattress is not queen; it is too short, my feet come out from it, and I’m 5’ 11”; I’m not that tall. Third, it is not comfortable; you can feel the coils individually. I’m very disappointed with the mattress; I thought it was going to be good when I saw the reviews. It expands fast, but how I said, it is too short. To be fair, it is a cheap mattress, so maybe if you’re looking for something that you can buy for a guest room, I guess it is fine, but if you’re planning to use it as your main mattress, think it twice before buying because it doesn’t have that functionality at all. When I bought this mattress, it was a bit of an emergency. My body was being attacked by the surface that I was sleeping on for 4 years and I'm here to tell you that waking up to the feeling that I had gone 10 rounds with a very angry MMA expert who is at least 50 years younger than me and I'm 70... Then along came this excellent choice of mattresses from Amazon- on my 70th birthday and just in time, too! My feeling about this mattress is that it emulates mattresses that cost much, much more in its comfort and quick adaptation to your particular style of sleeping- I tend to move around a lot, but this mattress can keep up with me. The hybrid construction allows for a firm, yet adaptable sleeping surface, that can accommodate sleepers that don't move around a lot, without creating those painful pressure points that can come from poorly buffered bedsprings. Please take care to get proper-sized pillows and add a new mattress cover. New, modern sheets- I like those bamboo ones, they feel like those in our favorite casino hotel, and I say that it's worth the extra dollars. This is your body we're talking about and you will have to care for it for the rest of your life! ;) BTW: My sugarbee had her eye firmly aimed at one of those $3000.00 mattresses that do everything but fix your morning coffee, but she immediately changed her mind after just one night! Now I can spend that $2800.00 on something really important, like fishing gear and stuff... :) Be Well! :) ... show more

Comfortable, organic but NOT the size of a standard queen. It is considerably smaller. I know the dimensions said what they say but trust that it is in fact smaller. Had to switch my daughter & son's mattresses. They're both "queen" but this one is much smaller.
