I ordered this iron to replace my cordless iron. I looked at many irons and was on the fence about this one based on the price and reviews I read. I did not love the price but after doing my research, I decided to buy this iron based on the length of time it stays hot and the cord length. Going back to a corded iron was a tough decision because so many irons have a short cord. This model has a 12 foot cord and it allows me to place my ironing board anywhere. When it’s says the cord rotates, it is able to rotate 360 degrees. Okay, so I used the iron with some sizing spray. I did not use the steam feature because at this price point, I’ll use a misting bottle of water if needed. No water going in this baby. The iron gets very hot! With the sizing spray, the wrinkles ironed right out. I did. To use it without the size spray, so no idea how well it removed wrinkles without the spray. The auto lift feature worked as expected and the iron also sits upright with no problem. As a test, I left the iron on, sitting on the legs. After a while I could smell it and went to look at my ironing board. I could see the area under it was slightly scorched. I would not recommend leaving it in this position when sewing or when planning to come back to it after some time. The temperature knob is way to adjust and it’s nice to be able to see the settings easily. I picked the turquoise iron and the color is very vibrant. The iron has a nice heft to it so it felt good in my hand running it along the fabric. The size of the iron is good, it’s slightly bigger than my old cordless iron. This was my experience with its first use. If anything changes I will update my review.

The best iron I have ever had. Love the swivel cord and excellent steam. Would recommend a silicon iron pad. Even using an alleged scortch proof silver iron cover. It still scorched.

While piecing, it scorces the ironing board cover if you leave it on. Needs a protective plate for it.

The single best feature about this iron is that it automatically elevates when you take your hand off of it. You could never burn anything with it unless you purposely set out to do so. It's a little pricey, but there's no other like this. It seems to be well-made. Heats nicely, seems magnificently.

The box I received looked great, until I opened it. It was pretty clear the iron had already been used, with some of the internal packing components torn or missing. The iron also had dirty smudges on it, and some water left in it's tank. It would not turn on when plugged in. I'm trying to exchange it for a new one, I'll update this review when I receive it. EDIT - I got the replacement iron, and it is lovely! I use it for quilting, and it works great. I particularly love the large opening and funnel for refilling the water tank. So much nicer than my old iron! ADDITIONAL EDIT - Okay, I've now had and used this iron for about 4 months. I'm no longer so impressed. The auto-lift function started acting up and being unreliable some 6 weeks ago. Now it pretty much just never works. So I always have to sit the iron on it's side. This iron also spits/leaks water on my fabric just as often as every other iron I've ever had. That being said, I do still like how quickly it heats and the size and ease of filling the water tank is nicer than any other iron I've owned. But personally I won't ever buy this brand again. Way too expensive for the main feature on it to stop working after only a couple months.

I really hesitated before spending the money for this iron. WHAT?? 200.00 for an iron? I’ve had a black and decker iron retractable cord iron. While it was very light in weight , it just didn’t quite suit my needs. I finally decided to purchase this one and it has been a joy already. Although I have only had it for a few days I have already used it for about 12 hours in my quilting. This iron is a little bit heavier than most irons but I really don’t need to pick it up that often when doing quilting. I love how it has exact fabric choice settings on the dial at the top I adore that it also has multiple settings for the type of steam that you want , the cord is exceptionally long I believe it’s 12 foot and it’s never gotten in my way when quilting . With the rotating cord base, it has never gotten in my way like my previous irons. The water reservoir is easy to fill with water either from the tap or from a water bottle or using the measuring cup that comes with it. I am also impressed with the safety of this iron in that it will auto shut off after 30 minutes in the down position or upright position. If it falls, it will shut off in 30 seconds. The iTouch feature is wonderful. It took me a minute or 2 to get used to the lifting feature but now it’s like second nature. This iron is well worth the money and is a dream to use. UPDATE: it’s now 3 months of using this iron almost everyday and I’ve got to say- I’m happier with it now than when when I wrote the original review! I appreciate the lights on the iron that can tell me at a glance if it’s on/ off or if it in auto off.
