After taking the mattress out of the box and then air tight bag. I let it lay on the floor for about a week or 2 before I built the bed. Even with that much time it laying flat on the floor the entire middle of the mattress is still flat. The reason I bought this mattess is because I've ordered a similar mattress in a different size from the same company and I was highly impressed. With the mattress being memory foam, I didn't think it would be as firm as it is. I've tried to break it in for a few weeks before writing a review but it's still firm for me. Now. It does have some plush to it, it's just not as much as I thought there be.
