I'm so used to being satisfied with Amazon products, and this had mostly good reviews so I didn't do normal heavy research and review reading before ordering this to replace my 3-year-old beloved layered memory foam mattress that improved the quality of my sleep forever. I wanted a new mattress to go with my new low-profile heavy-duty support frame. This one is basically just a rather insubstantial yellow spongy rectangle of foam with 1 inch of memory foam sandwiched on top wrapped in a mesh to hold it together inside of a nice zippered mattress cover. While it does have the one thin layer of memory foam so it feels pillowy to the touch, it neither supports fully nor has the classic memory foam "give with support" feel desired in a good memory foam mattress. My previous one had 2" memory foam, 2" airflow foam, and 4" sturdy support foam that created a perfect rock-solid imprint of the sleeper's body and supported every pressure point equally. This one is what I imagine it would be like lying on sponge cake and I can feel the steel frame (designed to be used without a box spring) when sitting on the edge of the bed or lying on my side through the mattress. This might be good for a lighter person: a slim adult, teen, or child; or as a second softer, slimmer-profile mattress on top of a regular one on a box spring for people who like the high-piled "princess and the pea" bed look. There are other layered memory foam mattresses on Amazon that are similarly or only slightly higher priced but better quality, such as the "Best Price 8" Memory Foam" I had previously (and will probably be putting back on the frame very soon) or the Zinus Sleep Master Ultima Comfort Memory Foam 8 Inch Mattress. I highly recommend if you want the best inexpensive memory foam sleep experience, get a mattress with the 4" support foam on the bottom and at least 2" memory foam as the top layer. ... show more

Do NOT buy this "mattress" it's literally craft foam. It's not 8 inches, when it decompresses it makes it to almost 5inches and there isn't a ounce of support in it. My daughter weighs 97lbs and sinks in about 3 of the 5inches provided. Also it never takes a squared shape, it has the appearance of a blow up air mattress with its rounded edges. However I do give Amazon 5 stars as always for helping me resolve the issue. I've purchased 2 other mattresses from from. Other brands on Amazon in the past that were fantastic this one is not. ... show more

Buy this mattress!! Smelled bad but aired out after two days. Inflated fully. Super comfy. We had a very firm mattress before this and this one rocks! Will update review within a few weeks or so but packaged well, and laid out per instructions. Instantly “inflated” and continues to inflate . Seems comfy enough. Although, it is a little bit long. No bother though! Happy to have a comfy bed again! Update: fiancé and I have decided this was the best investment we could have made. It inflated to just about 8 inches (we bought the 8 inch) I was so excited to sleep in this bed. The next morning after our first night sleep I felt so much better compared to before this mattress. I did not wake up with back pain like I have every other morning for the past five years. This mattress is firm but not too firm. It contours to your body but you won’t sleep hot. I did not wake up when my fiancé moved, turned, got out of bed etc. something I haven’t experienced before. This product was exactly what I was hoping for and far exceeded my expectations. If you are in your late 20s-30s and are looking for a mattress for you and your partner, please consider this product. I weigh under 150lbs and fiancé weighs under 180lbs. I have had relatively good experiences with Amazon purchases. Unfortunately, this is definitely NOT one of them. I waited a few weeks to document this because I wanted to hope that I was wrong and so were the negative reviews I ignored when I saw the good ones. Alas, this was not a good buy at all. The mattress does have an odor that doesn't appear to dissipate with time. I'm waiting for it to fill up and hit the 8 inches it reports it will, it has not! It's been more than 2 weeks since it finally arrived, so I'm guessing the 4 inches it is is where it will stay. I will be returning/asking for my money back. What a let down! :( ... show more

I received this mattress 6 days before Amazon's earliest estimation. I was particularly impressed with that. As for the mattress itself, it is the most comfortable thing I've ever slept on. It's just on the floor now until I can afford a bed frame but it is a firm mattress and far exceeds my expectations. It has different layers of foam of varying densities which makes it noticably more comfortable than just a single layer like those old ones used to be. I accidentally took a four hour nap yesterday and I have to be careful that I don't lay down on this mattress in the daytime for too long because I will fall asleep and lose a bunch of hours again. ... show more
