This structure is great, but would be greater if one of the small openin/closure little pieces was still in. It still works, but makes it harder to fold the feet at the bottom of the bed structure. Apart from that this twin xl is perfect. 14 inches high allowed me to store boxes under. I also opted for felter pads on every foot to prevent damages on my wooden floor. The mattress tends to slide a bit so I would recommend anti-slid patches on the upper flat and metallic structure. It is comfy, a bit noisy though. Pick up a good mattress, firm enough, but not too firm, because if you are a light weight like me, the black structure is really really firm already. The picture is accurate enough on the Amazon site so I do not feel like taking the same picture. All in all it is a good purchase. ... show more

We significantly downsized in preparation for early retirement. I miss my 5 bedroom home and wondered how on earth I was going to accommodate guests sleeping in my office (the only "extra" room in my new home). THIS IS PERFECT! I have a tri-fold foam mattress and this foldable bedframe - no boxspring or platform needed for the mattress. The bedframe is so sturdy, easy to put up and take down and stores perfectly in a standard (read: old house) bedroom closet with the mattress.
