Beautiful rug. The background color is beige. So soft to walk on. Gave a low rating on cleaning because we haven't had to clean it yet so I don't know if it's easy to clean. The packaging is really good too. They roll up the carpet and then cover it with many layers. It's nearly impossible for it to be damaged in shipping. Really a great rug. Per photo of rug, it appears to have beige background or identical golden tones of the Pottery Barn Eva Persian style rug. While the pattern is the same, the colors are significantly different. Instead of beige/golden tones, the rug background is grey with more muted (drab?) accent colors. The quality of the rug is fine, but only buy this if your color scheme fits grey rug. ... show more

It arrived thoroughly sealed and protected, and unrolled into a brand new, prefect rug that looks the exact same is if it came straight from the high end store. I had been eyeing this rug in the magazine for years, but could never bring myself to drop the couple grand on it. This rug may be the thickest of all of the rugs we own.
