Description

The Okuma Inspira Spinning Reel features a Multi-Disc Drag System with Japanese oiled felt washers protected by a Hydro Block water seal for enhanced durability and performance. 9-stainless steel High-Performance ball bearings keep functioning smooth and a quick-set anti-reverse roller bearing provides instant hook sets. The precision machine-cut brass pinion gear, housed in the rigid diecast aluminum frame, combines with Okuma's patented Elliptical Oscillation System for ultra fluid winding power and even line lay. Super corrosion-resistant as well, thanks to Okuma's Corrosion Resistant Coating Process, even the Inspira's high-density gearing and stainless steel bail wire are ultra-corrosion resistant for added longevity. A solid performer, the Okuma Inspira Spinning Reel also comes standard with a spare machined aluminum spool, as well as, a rigid forged aluminum handle.

I am a Shimano Stradic guy. Got one of these okuma reels as a gift 3 years ago. At the time I had 5 Stratics. Now I have 2 Stradics and 5 Okumas. They are lighter and just as smooth. I was worried sand/grit would get into the open style body of the reel but my son put it down in the sand 100 times fishing from shore one day, and its fine 2 years later. I love the 20s, but the 30s and 40s are also just as smooth and long casting. very little spin/wind knots if any. Line fits nice and flat on the spool. I bought 2 more this year. Stratics are getting old, I will be all Okuma after this coming season. I use braid exclusively. Started maintenance on the 3 year old reel(30) and it was so clean I didn't change or add grease. ... show more

Very good looking and smooth reel I bought a 3000 size and it is slightly smaller than my 2500 shimano sienna less line capacity as well held around 100 yrs of 20# power pro super slick if you choose the 3000 size or as they call it a 30b be aware of this I would go for the 4000 size and expect a true 3000 also if do not recommend the power pro super slick to stiff go for regular power pro and the 30b would pair well with 10# ... show more

Smooth operation. Good value. Drag fairly easy to adjust with fish on the line. Anti-reverse switch is a bit small, and hard to feel for when in a hurry to engage. Otherwise, I would purchase again. Have 10 lb mono spooled up. 8 lb. Might be better. But 10 lb seems to work pretty well for bass.

After using this reel for a few months, I have found it to be solid as well as lightweight. Overall a great reel. I am using it with 10lb braid with a mono leader for bass and trout fishing and it has been perfect. I'd recommend it.
