The drag is very difficult to adjust to the setting I want. The sweet spot is only a quarter inch play, if you go be you down this way to heavy or way to loose

Nice looking reel. Line counter seems to work well. Clicker function is nice, as is on off button. Great drag. Full disclosure, the first one I got failed on the third cast. It cast out fine, but something failed internally that would not allow the spool to turn with the handle. The replacement unit seemed to do well, caught 10 fish with it the first time out including a 5lb blue catfish. Will be a great reel for trolling. ... show more

The reel is so smooth I had to keep checking to see if I had my drag set tight. Handled the Coho well and I like the new feature that allows you to release line without having to do a reel in set. Sorry not sure how to describe that. I think you'll like this reel. I planned on buying another Coldwater low profile but this is better, just not as pretty. ... show more
