I LOVE THIS HELMET! The ear protection makes a world of difference...peace and quiet while sawing...it keeps your ears warm, perhaps a little too warm. The face shield is a metal screen and so far I've whacked my head and face shield a few times by accident walking into branches and such. No damage to the helmet yet and the screen keeps the wood chips out of your face. The rear tightening knob fixes the helmet to your head very nicely and securely. The helmet is very comfortable, even with a thin cap, it still functions though it's more comfortable without the cap. I cannot recommend this helmet enough. It's pricey, but the lack of wood chips to your face makes all the difference! If you can afford it, buy it!

The helmet is light, fits great and is easy to adjust. The visor stays up when you put it up. The earmuffs are comfortable, easily moved out of the way and they really reduces the noise. This is one quality helmet, I highly recommend it. Very happy with this purchase, would buy it again if the need ever arises.

This Husqvarna helmet is much better quality than the basic Husqvarna helmet sold in stores. I am very impressed with this helmet. It is comfortable and lightweight.

I’ve had several helmets for brush and logging work and this one is outstanding! I deliberately chose a more expensive version of the Husqvarna helmet because you can get replacement parts if need be. The fit and ear protector operation is exceptional. The visor has springs for holding it in place as opposed to a friction type system. It will always work properly. I’ve had cheaper import helmets and when something breaks, there are no replacement parts available and I have to throw it away. Obviously, I highly recommend this product.

Returned the green devil helmet, which was half the price, because it was of very poor quality. In addition to feeling like the Husqvarna helmet might protect my head better (?), the amount of TIME I save when working is worth every penny. Invest in your safety & get the better helmet. NOTE there is no chin strap, the hearing protectors hold the helmet in position, so I assume one is not needed :-\ Also, the hearing protector design works great, here's to hoping the moving parts last for many years.

Great helmet, comfortable and light. Ear muffs block sound well, face screen easily flips up and down. Very happy with this purchase!

I'm hardly a pro feller or an arborist, but I have used a chainsaw for 20 years to drop dead trees, mostly madrones (some 18 inches, 50 - 60 feet) then buck and split them for firewood. A dry madrone canopy is a really treacherous hazard: there are lots of small things that can shatter and drop on you and some quite large branches that are brittle and break loose, so you never want to be without a good helmet. I started with an inexpensive Stihl, and it seemed okay but for it slid around on my head no matter how I adjusted the suspension. So I borrowed my wife's Husqvarna helmet (slightly higher priced than the Stihl) and liked it better. Still, I couldn't get a perfect fit, and as with the suboptimal fit distracted me as I moved my head while working. (I don't like being distracted when I have in my hands a buzzing chainsaw . . .) So I gambled on this and it has turned out to be fabulous. Once it's on and properly adjusted, I don't even know it's there. It's comfortable and never moves. I am no longer distracted, and I wonder why in the name of god I didn't spring for this sooner. Dumb me. But I finally got what I needed.
