Very nice incubator

We were lucky enough to receive 8 fertilized eggs from a farmer. We enjoyed the process of watching the development process of the chicks using the candler. We only got 5 chicks, but I'm certain the incubator had nothing to do with this. Our children were able to maintain the incubator easily by adding water when needed and checking on the progress. The manual was easy to follow and adjust the temps and humidity as needed. One feature that would have been nice (I didn't see it) would be to have a lock function on the controls so little fingers don't change any settings. The incubator is small enough to keep on a kitchen counter and easy to see what's going on. For the price, being able to teach kids how chickens grow is invaluable. Simple to use, great value and great functionality!

Great incubator

This is a really great incubator. It carried the eggs through the full term without any problems. The temperature stayed very stable and never randomly dropped. The humidity control worked great as well, and the unit alerts you if the temperature drops (like if the lid is left open) or if the humidity gets too low. It’s also very easy to add water without disturbing the eggs, which makes maintaining humidity simple. Overall it’s very user-friendly and reliable. I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable incubator that just wants to hatch a few eggs. 😊 also love the little window on it helps for humidity if it gets to high.

Unreliable humidity control

I purchased this incubator based on its positive reviews, but unfortunately it has been a disappointing experience. During the first few days, it maintained humidity fairly well. However, starting around day 4, the humidity became very unstable, dropping from about 55% to 38% within just a few hours. It beeps when it drops below 40%. This even woke me up in the middle of the night. Because of this, I don’t feel comfortable leaving the house for more than 5–6 hours, which makes it very inconvenient to use. The built-in candler is also not effective for quail eggs, as it does not provide sufficient light to see clearly. Additionally, there is no light when the eggs are turning. Either the unit is defective or the description is incorrect. Overall, the only thing I like about this incubator is the temperature control and its appearance. Functionally, it does not meet expectations and causes unnecessary stress when trying to maintain stable incubation conditions. I’m currently on day 10 and hoping the eggs are okay. To help stabilize the humidity, I had to cover the entire unit with a large clear plastic bag, leaving a small gap for airflow.

Nice little incubator for hobby flocks or classroom use

This incubator is great for a small classroom or home incubation project. It is easy to assemble, being careful to look at instructions first. With daily monitoring this is a fun, economical unit! While I haven't done my first batch of chicks due to cold weather, i did test it out with a wet cloth and thermometer and performed as intended. It's best for small hobby flocks or elementary schools. At under $50 (Jan 2026), it's an honest value.
