I did not assemble the fixture myself, had an electrician at homer for other issues and he installed the lamp immediately. the batteries inside the control remote did not work so I changed them and it worked fine. Love the fact that there different temperatures of light. For working in the room I use the strongest one, otherwise I use the warm light and before I go to sleep I can turn the light down. It is not a strong material but once installed, yo are not supposed to touch it. Asking about changing the bulbs in case of not working, the answer : Buy a new one for that price!!!! My neighbor has the same and after 4 years it still works better that the expensive ones. That was also what my electrician told me. ... show more

Smaller then you are going to want. Pretty easy to assemble. Will need a spacer to make it look right. I like it for what it is. If it was 50% bigger it would be ideal. I would pay 2x more if it was. Would need to be sturdier too.
